Athena is a lovely hotel, very clean, neat, quiet, great meals but best of all are the staff. For all the staff that I had a priviledge of being served, keep it up, you are very good professionals, courteous, friendly adn you made my stay all worthy. I can't stay anywhere else in Kampala. Shukran.

There’s this little Gem called Athena Hotel in a quiet neighborhood in Kampala. From the moment the gate is opened for you when you arrive to when they close the cab door when you leave, it all feels like a mother’s hug. They are EXTREMELY welcoming, kind and VERY professional. They take care of you like family, they know you by name and even remember you even if you’ve been away for 2 months like I was. From Jean Claude who will joyfully take your luggage, to Shantal at the front desk who will walk with you to your car every morning and pleasantly chat with your boss uber driver, to Prima in the evening who will ask you how your day has been and she will do that by stopping what she’s doing to look at you in the eye and talk to you. Then the very sharp Joseph who will take care of you as he drives you around town and then there’s Simon the manager, who when he says he will do something for you, he actually does. He gave me a discount as a returning client so if you need those deals, visit them often. The meals have a touch of home, it feels like the food was made for just one person, just like home. The rooms, clean, large comfortable beds and soft pillows, airy and even the smaller rooms are big, large windows that allow natural light. The neighborhood is quiet. Please use their gym and pool when you go there. I will always go back there when I’m in Kampala and I would 100000% recommend this hotel EVERY WAKING DAY.
