Location

This hotel is located on the pristine beach of Saadiyat Island. Abu Dhabi International Airport is approximately 20 minutes away from the hotel, while it is around 90 minutes to Dubai International Airport.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 377 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, a transfer service, 24-hour room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Air conditioning, central heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A telephone, a TV, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Amenities provided in the rooms include slippers and a daily paper. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. Sport

There are indoor and outdoor pools and a children's swimming area. Pure relaxation in the hot tub, fun on the waterslide and refreshing drinks at the pool bar – guests will experience just how rich and varied a day in the water can be. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. The resort offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, beach volleyball, crazy golf, golf and fishing. Water sports available at the resort include canoeing, kayaking, snorkelling and diving. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, squash, yoga and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, a beauty salon and massage treatments. Parents can unwind while the kids can participate in an entertainment programme full of fun activities.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. Catering options include half board and full board. A continental breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner offer plenty of delicious variety. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Stunningly beautiful resort. The biggest hotel bathroom we have ever had, with a gorgeous enormous free standing bath. The buildings were all beautiful and the decor was fresh, modern and nice with an Arab twist. The beach was exceptional, very large and clean with beautiful light blue water. Staff always polite and helpful. We loved seeing the hawks

    Very disappointing experience. They completely ruined my wife’s birthday.I called multiple times to confirm there would be a day pass available, and each time they assured me it was fine. Based on that, I also booked a massage. But when we arrived at 11 AM, they suddenly said it was full and refused to let us in.I explained it was a special occasion and that I had confirmed everything in advance, but the staff were unhelpful and showed no flexibility. I asked to speak to the manager, but they refused to come.We had our kids with us, including a 6-month-old baby, and ended up wasting over an hour before leaving to find another place.For a 5-star hotel, this level of poor service and lack of professionalism is unacceptable.     Policy Matters More Than People Here

    We were due to check out on the day airspace was closed due to missile threats, with government alerts instructing everyone to immediately shelter indoors. Within 12 minutes of that alert, I booked an additional night at the hotel as we had no way to leave.When I got to the room, I realised the rate was almost double the previous nights. It did include a better view and larger balcony, but given we were required to stay indoors and it was 6pm, this added no real value.The following day, with no flights available for at least another two days, I moved to a different hotel. On arrival, they asked why I had left St. Regis and informed me that my stay could potentially have been covered under a government support scheme, something that was never mentioned to me at checkout. I was then told the scheme only applied if I had remained at the same hotel, resulting in additional costs.After returning home, I contacted the hotel. They initially claimed I had booked my room before the missile threats, which I disproved with timestamps showing the booking was made after the government alert. Despite acknowledging this, they maintained they could not confirm the booking was related to the situation and declined any goodwill gesture - even though we all heard and seen missiles being intercepted in the sky that day. The hotel also confirmed they were made aware of the government support scheme on the Saturday evening, and I checked out on the Sunday. Despite this, no one informed me of it at any point, and I was later told it was my responsibility to ask if I wanted to be included (in a scheme I wasn’t aware of). Given the circumstances, active missile threats and airspace closure, that position is hard to justify.The response throughout was a repetition of policy rather than any willingness to apply judgement in an exceptional situation where guests were unable to leave.Only after escalation to Marriott International was a gesture offered in the form of resort credit, valid for 12 months. As I have no plans to travel within that timeframe, this has no value. Our local government still advises against all but necessary travel.The stay itself was fine when everything was normal. Faced with a situation like this, the hotel chose to rely on policy rather than judgement.
