  The staff here are all amazing and we’re so thoughtful and helpful when we got stuck in Dubai. We had a fantastic stay even with the troubles going on in the area due to the outstanding service.   Finally got back to London, UK, from Dubai after getting caught up in the drone/missile strikes, so now its time to leave my review!! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Al Bandar Rotana. This was my first trip to the UAE, and the reason for my solo trip was a birthday treat to myself. I flew out from Gatwick on the evening of 20th Feb, which was my birthday, and I landed at DXB around 7am on Saturday 21st Feb. Getting through passport control was quite simple, and my transfer was waiting for me, to take me to this fabulous hotel, which was literally 2 and a half miles away from the airport, 10 minutes of driving and I arrived at the hotel. Check-in was a breeze. Due to my early morning arrival, my room was not quite ready yet, so I was afforded the opportunity to chill out in the lounge on the 18th floor, and help myself to tea, coffee, fruits, and other breakfast snacks. I also was shown around one of the new rooms that had their own indoor plunge pool. I would have loved to stay in one of these premium rooms, but my credit card wouldnt stretch that far, lol. Maybe on my next visit I will treat myself to one of the rooms with the plunge pool 🙏🏿💵💴💶💷💳.Around 11:30am, I was notified that my room was ready for me. Room 605. All the usual things you would expect to see in hotel room in s 5 star residence were present, satellite enabled flat screen TV, ironing board, iron, water, kettle, fridge, etc. No complaints from me about the quality of the room. What made my stay memorable was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble, whether it was booking taxis, providing advice on where to go for a nice meal, or helping with luggage. SHOUTOUTSSpecial mentions for Diane and the rest of the Filipina crew of ladies who greeted me with a smile every morning at Salt and Pepper restaurant on the 1st floor when I tucked into the breakfast buffet. Diane is a credit to Al Bandar Rotana, she always gave me a good seat and went the extra mile to ensure I was ok, along with the other Filipina ladies. The ladies and gents of Bodylines fitness and wellness club. Especially Nasim, Nina, Nita and Kelly. Nasim is so professional, I really enjoyed the sauna and steam room. Nita also soothed my sore muscles with a fantastic massage. The first massage was nice, I had to do it twice 😉. Fairly priced massage well worth it. Especially the 2nd massage when they gave me a discount. AMENITIESThe gym was stacked with every piece of equipment you need. Bikes, treadmill, free weights, pec dec, etc. There is a gastropub/restaurant on the ground floor called Morgan's where you can watch live sport and have a beer or two to wash down your food. Gift shop - Omid in the gift shop sells drinks, fridge magnets, cigarettes, and other souvenirs. Vanilla Lobby Lounge - grab a quick coffee and chill out.There is a barbershop, beauty salon, prayer room, and also a kids club. This hotel has left no stone unturned. Everything you could possibly want is here. Top Tips: The hotel offers a free shuttle bus every day to Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and also to Kite Beach. I strongly suggest you make use of this free hotel shuttle bus, as it saves you time and money having to use the metro, which gets very busy. LOCATIONThe hotel is strategically located, walking distance to supermarkets, shops, restaurants and mosques. Some people like seclusion, but I was happy with the location of this hotel as it was a good base for exploring old and new Dubai. Union metro station is around a 12 minute walk away, and there are only two metro lines, red and green, so its hard to get lost. The red line takes you to Dubai mall in 22 mins from Union Station, and Mall of the Emirates is around 35 mins from Union Station. Dubai Marina is 45 mins from Union station. Uber and Careem taxis are freely available as well if you download the app.Finally, I have to reserve a special mention for one of the Front of house/reception managers, Moustafa Galagel. This man is an angel sent from. God. I had checked out on Saturday afternoon as my original flight was at 2:50 am on Sunday. I was in the lobby area waiting for my transfer to the airport, only for the transfer company to WhatsApp me to tell me the airport was closed due to drone missile strike that occurred. By the time I realised I wouldnt be travelling back to London anytime soon, Moustafa arranged for a room at one of Al Bandar Rotana's sister hotels, Towers Rotana, on Sheikh Zayed Road, where I was able to shelter safely for a couple of extra nights until the airport partially re-opened and I could get back on a flight to the UK. All in all, a well deserved five stars to Al Bandar Rotana. My birthday trip coincided with Ramadan, so there was a nice vibe to the hotel during this month, with plenty of special offers available. I would happily stay at this hotel again. If you want a clean, efficient hotel in the heart of Dubai Creek, Deira, you wont regret staying here.   Wonderful staff and nice amenities

  This hotel is a leader in providing top-notch service. We recently stayed during a very busy week or so and felt like family by the time we left. Breakfast is nice and they offer every convenience there, including a spa, an ATM and several restaurants on site. The pool was nice too and the staff there worked hard, but I would recommend a tighter system so that people can’t take over the limited pool chairs and canopies from open until sunset.Manoj (guest services) and Maria (check-in desk) were especially friendly. They were thrust in a stressful situation with the start of the war, but we didn’t catch them without smiles on their faces while there to assist us each day! Odai was also very kind and helpful!   There’s so many things we enjoyed about this hotel. The room was modern and very clean (as was the hotel throughout), all modern amenities, bed very comfortable. The pool on the 13th floor has great views but is quite small for the number of guests. If you don’t arrive early enough you will have to put yourself on a waiting list for a sunbed. There’s a seating area by the bar however there’s no shade. The views of the Dubai skyline are incredible.The gym, also in 13th floor, has the base equipment, there is also a nice spa -like changing area with steam and sauna.The food was great. Lots of choice for every palate, all very fresh. My favourite meal in the buffet was lunch with a great variety of salads and sushi. Our highlight was Italian restaurant which is located on 18th floor and has amazing views, especially at sunset. The food there is very good and so is the service. The hotel give you a credit of 100 dirhams per adult to dine there so chances are you will have to pay extra but I thought it was so worth it.The Gastro pub was my least favourite for food, but if you fancy a few drinks and watch some sports, it will do.Location is in old Dubai and not far from the souks, you can walk along the creek in the evening and catch a taxi boat across the creek to Al Fahidi or Al Seef historic neighbourhoods or take a dhow boat ride.It’s also not too far from Dubai Mall however if you plan to spend a lot of time in Palm Jumeirah or Marina areas, then this wouldn’t be the best choice as a taxi ride there can be around an hour or even longer during peak hour. The hotel do offer free daily shuttle bus to Kite beach, Dubai Mall and Emirates Mall which I thought is a nice touch.Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and a good value for money.
