  That anyone would give this hotel more than 3 (out of 5) is proof of grade inflation & very limited travel experience. Bedroom - curtain had no handles, no way to fully draw closed; no drawers anywhere, where the hell are you supposed to put your clothes; walls are thin & not well sound insulated; Bathroom - 1 bar of soap, nothing in the shower; shower floor is slippery, & no safety bars; toilet is just behind the door, a very awkward way to get to it; the courtesy body lotion is thinner than soup; Other - when you leave the room & take your key out of the control panel, all electricity goes off - including the air conditioning; you need an extra key to leave in the slot, & they don't tell you that until you have a problem & complain. The one thing it's got going for it is its location - which doesn't reflect at all on management.

  Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights before a cruise. It was fantastic. We had a double Executive room with a balcony. It was spotless and beds were very comfortable. Air con worked great. Coffee machine in the room also. It didn't have the boulevard views which we preferred as the noise from traffic seemed pretty loud. We didn't opt for breakfast as it was 25 euro each per morning which was extortionate so we dined locally for a fraction of the cost. Aldi is also across the road to stock up on supplies. There was infused fresh water, cakes, biscuits and fruit on a serving table left by the lifts on each floor which was a nice touch. Also they left a complimentary litre of water in the rooms and it was replenished every day. Staff were very friendly. It was a great experience and we would have no hesitation in staying here again. . Norma and Liam.

  The hotel is in a great location, just 2 minutes walk from Avenida metro station. The area felt safe day and night and had lots of great restaurant options. It’s only three stops to the historic waterfront square and only two stops to Baixa-Chiado metro, from which you can easily access Bairro Alto, via escalators, ie without a long steep hill climb. The rooms (avenue facing) were modern, clean and well fitted out. There is a small rooftop pool, which was great for cooling off at the end of the day. The staff we encountered (Patricia Santos in particular) were friendly and courteous throughout, with good local knowledge and advice. We decided against breakfast in the hotel. €25 per person per day is too much, but perhaps it’s priced for business travellers on expenses. The only suggested improvement for the room would be slightly better lighting, as it was a little dark. All in all though, it was an excellent base from which to visit Lisbon and I would highly recommend!

  Beautiful hotel, perfect location and staff are amazing! We have visited Lisbon a few times and very happy with decision to stay at Turim Boulevard.

  I cannot understand the poor ratings here. We found the hotel to be everything we wanted. Very pleasant staff, excellent value, clean and comfortable. The position is excellent right next to a metro link and within walking distance of Bairro Alto. Get ready for some strenuous hill-walking.
