  Well done Marriott group over Easter Weekend!

  There are three hotels across the property here, a W, Le Meriden and the Westin and it is absolutely packed for Easter weekend (everyone has the same idea to get away from sheltering in place at home) and the staff have been phenomenal. On top of that the deals they have due to low tourism are amazing! We’ve paid 860aed/$234USD for a night in a king room for two adults, 2 kids with half board and late checkout. Because I’m platinum elite they’ve upgraded us to a massive club room, gave us two single beds in the room and club access. We chose to go to the rooftop pizza place where all of us, even the kids, got 3 courses of delicious food and pizza for dinner. All other f&b spending is 20% off for this staycation deal. The breakfast spread is one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel for a while with an avocado toast station, a granola station, egg station and pork station, to name a few. On top of that the waterpark and kids club are fab for kids! Our kids didn’t want to leave the kids club last night so we left them there til food was on the table. They even won a prize at the kids disco!Well done bonvoy group for giving some normality at a great price to residents of the UAE. Service has been exceptional for such a busy weekend.   Fantastic Family-Friendly Resort – Like 3 Hotels in One!

  We recently stayed at Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark and had an absolutely fantastic family holiday. What really makes this resort stand out is that it’s effectively three hotels in one, as guests can also use the facilities at The Westin Mina Seyahi and W Dubai – Mina Seyahi. This gave us an incredible amount of choice throughout our stay.The ability to move freely between the three hotels meant we had access to multiple pools, restaurants, bars, and beach areas, which kept things fresh and exciting every day. Whether it was relaxing by the pool, enjoying a different restaurant each evening, or exploring the various bars across the complex, there was always something new to try.We stayed all-inclusive, which worked perfectly for our family. It made everything very easy and stress-free – no worrying about food bills or drinks adding up. The variety of restaurants included in the package was great, and the quality of the food was consistently high. With kids, the flexibility of grabbing drinks, snacks, or meals whenever we wanted was a huge bonus.The waterpark and family facilities were also a big highlight. It’s incredibly family friendly, with plenty to keep children entertained while still offering lots of space and relaxation for adults. The staff across all three hotels were excellent – friendly, attentive, and always happy to help.The only minor downside is that the beach view faces some surrounding buildings, and on the left-hand side there is currently construction for the Marina apartments. However, this didn’t really impact our overall experience as the resort itself is beautiful and the facilities more than make up for it.Overall, we had a brilliant family holiday and would happily return.   I will separate this review in two:Normal review:Hotel is spotless, very clean and rooms spacious. I need to challenge the “family friendly” statements. There are a lot of restrictions for children. Out of all the pools they only have access to one to play and one which is lane swimming only. All others are adult only. The main pool is ok, however kids are not allowed to jump or play much as the lifeguards are very strict. One restaurants and a few bars are adults only so we felt the need to check everywhere we went that our son would be permitted access. Within 24 hours all 3 of us came down with food poisoning. Not the best start to our holiday whilst also missing pre booked tickets for future museum as we were all too unwell to go. I shared this with the hotel who investigated thoroughly and also gave us access to the hotel nurse. It became apparent that this was merely an insurance exercise to ensure no liability was accepted. The illness was blamed on my child having a temperature of 37.5 which for me is perfectly normal. But for the nurse, this was an illness, not food poisoning. This being said I understand food poisoning can happen and I felt like they did take it seriously. Water park is great, our son had lots of fun here. There is a lot of building works going on, most of which goes unnoticed and becomes background noise very quickly. The ground of all 3 hotels are spotlessly clean and all staff very friendly.Now for the part of review for after Trump threw a massive toddler tantrum and put millions of lives at risk: We felt safe, but very unnerved and very uncertain. The hotel had clear protocols in place. The first night of the missiles was very scary and communication not great. The hotel had arranged for a shelter should guests feel the need to move there of a night. We were not informed of this in any way and only found out through other guests the following morning which at the time was very stressful, but with hindsight we wouldn’t have used that facility anyway. But would have liked the option at least. Now this is a very unnerving time for EVERYONE, guests and staff. I cannot fault any staff in how they handled the situation whilst we were there. Every single person working in this hotel held themselves with clear, calm composure and with incredibly professional attitudes which helped me in staying calm. We were able to secure additional nights stay should we have needed it due to our flights being cancelled. What I will say is they were very inconsistent with their pricing. The guests talk……. Please don’t lower yourselves to try and make as much money as possible in an already stressful circumstance. People were being offered rooms at extra nights from £300-£790 a night. Very confusing and stressful if you are unable to pay. But this being said it was beautiful to see how this hotel lead their team in a crisis which helped us feel as safe as we possibly could and we couldn’t thank you enough. This review gives 4 stars because of the position we all found ourselves in and the support and professionalism you showed your guests. If this was a normal review it would be a 3 star at most given it shouts about family friendly atmosphere this wasn’t our experience but our visit here was certainly far from the norm so take from that what you will.
