    Nice place, near the metro DMCC (10min) and the Dubai Marina (15 min walk).Got updated to an amazing suite thanks to the All Gold status.The staff is very friendly and helpful. Full breakfast, with a great variety of delicious fresh food. Chef Ajay and his staff takes really care of your requests (omelette and whatever you fancy).The Gym is fully equipped. There's also a pool.It was a really nice first time in Dubai, and I certainly recommand this place !     We had a very good experience of a 4 night stay at the Movenpick during February. Room on the 6th floor overlooking the pool was comfortable. Comfy beds and facilities like tea/coffee making were appreciated. However, there is a constant drone of traffic noise and being in the near vicinity of a Mosque meant an early morning 6am call to prayer. The balcony is only about 30 cm wide giving you just enough room to stand outside but its enough to enjoy the sunset. The outstanding feature of this hotel are the staff. All are attentive, friendly and cannot do enough for you. Special mention to Ajay in the breakfast restaurant. He and his fellow chefs, including Purushu on the egg station, went out of their way to make us feel special. On Valentines Day they sculpted pancake batter to form a super "card" and then on our final morning another "card" as a farewell and "thank you for staying with us". Breakfast was a good variety of delicious foods catering to different nationalities. The pool is also another plus for the hotel. The water was warm and clean and enough sunbeds and umbrellas around to enjoy a few relaxing hours in the winter sun. Having a lifeguard always on hand is also appreciated. Twice we took advantage of the free shuttle bus to Riva Beach Resort on the Palm. Here the pool, sunbeds and warm clear sea waters were enjoyed to the full. One point to note is that you only get 3-4 hours here before you have to return. The location of the hotel is quite good with a few restaurants etc within walking distance. Also the Metro system is about a 10 minute walk away. We also used the gym which is a good size with plenty of equipment. Overall a very good experience staying at this hotel.
