Location

It is just 20 min from the cosmopolitan city centre of Dubai with bustling spice and fabric souqs, as well as the modern attractions of the gold souq. Also nearby is the Mall of the Emirates, the largest shopping mall outside of North America, which includes an indoor ski slope. Located on the pristine Dubai shoreline, the hotel offers a tranquil setting with exceptional views over the Arabian Gulf. This hotel is located near to Dubai International Airport.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 294 non-smoking rooms. English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (no extra charge). Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most units include a balcony with sea views, where guests can relax and linger a while. Special extras await all-inclusive holidaymakers, such as non-alcoholic beverages and snacks, for example. A continental breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner offer plenty of delicious variety. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers special catering options. Alcoholic beverages are available.

    A small observation that raised a bigger question

    It’s a nice hotel with friendly staff and great food.However, I want to highlight something important I noticed on the property.This message is for the Management and Owners*I was genuinely disappointed to see signs asking not to feed or pet the cats. These signs don’t reflect care or respect for animals, especially in a place like this. The cats on the property are very friendly and gorgeous, but clearly hungry.We all know the difficult situation that street cats face in the UAE. Many were abandoned or born outside through no fault of their own...A hotel of this level has an opportunity to lead with compassion. Instead of prohibiting kindness, you could guide it.For example:"Please don’t feed the cats randomly. There is a designated feeding area in a clearly marked location with proper food and fresh water"This would make a real difference, not only for the animals, but also for how guests perceive your values and the country as a whole.I also noticed that the hotel has a dog park, which is a great initiative by the management. That is why the signs regarding the cats felt somewhat inconsistent with this approach.The cats that found their way to your property deserve care and respect.They could become a small but meaningful symbol of kindness and warmth that guests remember ❤️ I truly hope that next time I visit, I will see a thoughtful and humane solution in place, with healthy and well cared for cats.p.s. I’m also a UAE resident and would be happy to help if needed.

    Very disappointing experience

    Very disappointed with our stay in the Westin. It was a very special occasion for us and our stay was a huge let down from start to finish. The hotel was completely overcrowded with day passes and there were no free sun-beds available. The staff offered us towels to lie on the ground and said this was the only option available due to there being too many people. Service was incredibly slow with a 45-60 min wait for drinks. Staff were brilliant and kept their composure throughout but there were clearly not enough staff working. The waterpark was overcrowded and we had to take our daughter out of it as I felt it was dangerous. Food in Minas Kitchen was a really poor offering and not akin to the standard we were used to getting in the Westin. Room was no better with a shower that didn’t drain and stains on the sheets. Got up early and checked out the next day. Complained to management and got a generic email reply saying they were sorry our experience wasn’t up to standards. Asked for the general managers email, got no response.     Great family hotel, but dinner service needs improvement

    We originally booked W Dubai - Mina Seyahi, but for operational reasons were moved to The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi. I am not sure if it was an upgrade, but Westin turned out to be a great hotel.The rooms were spacious and clean, and they provided a rollaway bed for our son, which he liked. We had a beautiful sea view overlooking the greenery and pools. The hotel has multiple pools, a separate adults-only area, a clean beach, and a lot of greenery, which made the whole place feel really nice and relaxing. The waterpark was also a great addition and our son enjoyed it a lot. It was not too crowded, so it felt comfortable.Breakfast was good with a nice variety. We also had lounge access, which was a great extra, as we could have lunch there and enjoy some drinks.The main downside was the dinner experience. Fish Beach Taverna was disappointing - the food was mediocre, service was very slow, and during check-out we were wrongly asked to pay for a half board dinner. The issue was resolved, but only after a long explanation. On another day we wanted to go to Bussola, but it was fully booked, so we used the buffet dinner instead, and that was good.Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, especially for a family with a child, but the dinner service definitely needs improvement.     Pleasant place to stay in Dubai

    The location is very convenient, it’s very easy to reach everything. The atmosphere is cosy and extra friendly, a lot of pools on the territory and you can choose one of 3 beaches. The staff is very friendly, competent and always ready to help. I was living on the 7th floor, where the view was amazing! The rooms a perfectly organised and always very clean. I am extremely grateful for such perfect timing of cleaning.I think the price of the hotel is equal to its level of service. Level of food is great, fresh vegetables that are squeezed when you ask are very tasty.I am very grateful to everyone in the team of this hotel that made my vacation perfect!
