    Booked a “deluxe double” room and was put in a room that was filthy, after a week of continuous emails I have heard nothing back. AVOID

    The place smells old & stale. The room was small, furniture was old & broken. We believed that we would be provided with bed & breakfast, but it was bed only. Only changed linen every 3 days

    Give us this for a double bed 45 quid. As per photos only one pillow said this isn't a double and not 2x pillows, towels etc. Said hotel is full no other rooms. Said we will send another pillow up 4x hours later no pillow and trying to make the most of this but emails sent no proper response. Take my word book the travel lodge not much more in advance a few quid when I have looked. My wife isn't aloud to book anything again. First time time she has booked anything and certainly the last ;-).

    First impressions were not good. The hotel was central .The front desk guy was unfriendly and dull. I had to walk up creaky stairs to level 3. There's no lift. Not accessible for disabled then. Got into room and what a sorry state. The carpets were threadbare and had bald patches, TV didn't work, furniture dated . The bathroom was very tight. The only good thing going for this place was the bathtub and- yes ! Hot water ! Tried getting a sleep but the bed was too uncomfortable- springs poking everywhere. I ended up giving up trying and I was so upset I had a panic attack. I know it was cheap but this place is awful. I never stayed at all. I was on top floor and the seagulls bashing against the window was very upsetting. There was noise from other guests arguing which added to my anxiety. Im disgusted.

    Having stayed here several times, last time was 2019, I didn't bother reading the latest reviews. Big mistake. The new owners have left this once beautiful hotel go to rack and ruin. Awful place. Dirty, grubby and generally run down. Would not recommend
