Good could be excellent

Fairly long term resident, I shouldn’t have to request room cleaning, towel change etc the staff ste fully aware of booking duration on check in. Free parking is a good option but the sign posts should declare this, I wasted £10 on first arrival which I didn’t need to pay. SANDRA NOSOVA, Guest Services / Front Office at Village Hotel Aberdeen, responded to this review Thank you, Alan, for being a loyal guest and for sharing your feedback. I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciate you bringing these details to our attention. Our current standard is for guests to request a room refresh, and I apologize that this impacted your stay. I will share your feedback regarding this and the parking signage with the relevant departmental teams.I hope to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, Sandra

Not very helpful
11 Apr 2026
Not very flexible. This booking was made months ago with Booking.com. Due to two factors beyond my control i was unable to attend. Tried to cancel or rearrange and both times i got a flat no. Booking.com referred me to the hotel and the hotel referred me to Booking.com. Zero empathy and organisation and both passing the buck to each other. I appreciate some room bookings say they are set in stone as per the agreement but folks....life happens. Have some decency and empathy. I would have understood if it was a more sought after hotel. It was booked because it was cheap. Bigger hotels are a bit more helpful. Maybe worth looking at that way of running a business? SANDRA NOSOVA, Guest Services / Front Office at Village Hotel Aberdeen, responded to this review Thank you, Mark G, for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration regarding the inability to amend or cancel your booking. We appreciate that unexpected circumstances can arise, and we regret that we were unable to offer the flexibility you were hoping for on this occasion. As your reservation was made through a third-party platform, certain terms and conditions are set at the time of booking, which can limit our ability to make changes directly. However, your comments regarding communication and empathy have been noted and will be shared with the relevant teams for review. We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion, we hope to have opportunity to welcome you in the future. Kind regards, Sandra
