One night group booking at the Europa

    rating09 Jun 2026

We had a group of people (35 to be exact) staying in Belfast for the weekend. The Europa was the perfect location for them, with a great Atmosphere around the place. We had booked 16 twins and 3 single rooms, which were reasonably priced for a group booking. The service that the group received was first class, and for being in the city centre on a Saturday night, the rooms were quiet (and also very clean!) The breakfast on Sunday was good value, and beautifully prepared. It was good for people in the group to receive a good Northern Irish breakfast (but also with other choices as well!).

Caroline, Aaron and our Piano Bar waiter made staying at the Europa extra special. The staff are the reason that we keep returning, they are so incredibly friendly, accomodating and welcoming. The Hotel is first class. Recommend staying ther.

    Very nice hotel with shortcomings

    rating06 Jun 2026

First of all, I would like to say that the Europa hotel is a very nice and classy hotel. Our room was very clean and the furnishings were very nice. The problem we had was the very small size of the room, which was not much bigger than the cabin we had on the Queen Mary II. The thing that is very hard to understand is why whoever designed the rooms, would think it was a great idea to have a bathroom that was basically a glass enclosure. Did they ever think about the privacy of women? They put a curtain on one side (which should have been a wall) that you can slide for a small degree of privacy. However the door is CLEAR glass. They had a lock for the bathroom, but for what?? you could see everything inside!!I can see that apparently they tried to diminish the claustrophobic feel of the room, but created a bigger problem. Additionally, there was not a single place to hang your towels and the sink vanity was smaller than on a ship. there were no racks for placement of your toiletries, except under the sink.I guess I needed to fork out some more money for a better room.
