  The Ommaroo Hotel for the Win of the Century!

  From the minute we walked in to the reception, we loved this hotel. The location is splendid; just a quick walk over to the Jersey Swimming Club, the Lido, and all sorts of shops and restaurants. The hotel herself is around a century old, but has been updated so meticulously while retaining the character of a grander time. The staff was friendly and efficient, and though we arrived earlier than check-in, were able to take hand of our luggage while we had a spot of lunch. We stayed in room 15, which was not a view room, but was spacious and comfortable. The bed gave us the best sleep we had on our trip, and the staff were attentive in tidying and getting us anything we needed. We took advantage, too, of the dining offerings. Breakfast daily was delightful—a full array of choices, from cereals to breads to a full hot breakfast, with all kinds of hot and cold drinks, too. We also enjoyed lunch at The Terrace, a drink at the Coast Bar, and two dinners at the Bistro while staying at Ommaroo. From delicious cider to fresh fish to a marvelous birthday dessert (Biscoff & Banana Pancakes and the Jersey Ice Cream in Brandy Snap Basket live in my dreams!), we were so well-taken-care of at Ommaroo.   Great location and good food

  The hotel is in a good location with the lido directly opposite and bus stops very close.I found the food at breakfast and dinner to be very good with excellent staff.I stayed 4 nights. I was allocated room 15 on the 2nd floor which was good. The only problem was there was a leak in the shower room ceiling coming from the room above which I reported in the evening when I first noticed it and again the following morning. I felt unable to use the shower on my final morning when there was quite a lot of water on the floor and a damp ceiling (was worried about the leak and electric lights) Reception staff apologised. In retrospect I think I should have been offered an alternative room for my final night or a small discount to my bill given I wasn't really able to use the shower on my final day. Fortunately the wash basin is located in the bedroom and not the shower room.Overall Jersey is lovely and I enjoyed my break.   A lovely time in Jersey

  We had a lovely time in Jersey the staff in the hotel were brilliantAnd the food lovely only downside was as I couldn't eat the fried food i would have liked to have seen scrambled eggs or a boiled egg Only complaint we had was our bedroom the window faced out to an old derelict building and did not open making the room hot and musty,Overall we enjoyed our trip to Jersey Norbert Stump, General Manager at Ommaroo Hotel, responded to this review Dear sue120447Thank you very much for your feedback.   Lovely hotel in a great spot.

  A lovely hotel in a great location with beautiful views of the sea. We had front facing balcony rooms with refreshing views of the sea and public lido which is easy to access. The staff are fantastic and so helpful always smiling and welcoming. Our rooms were comfortable and although air conditioning would have been great fans were provided. The hotel is only 1 km from the town centre and in a great area for good food venues. We will be coming back.
