Good stay at Woodford bridge county club

Lovely peaceful area in the countryside away from town. Helpful and friendly staff. The club room 16 we stayed in was spotless and even though it didn't have a full kitchen it had a Combi oven/microwave, toaster, kettle, good size fridge.Pool was great. Had a mini spa with sauna, hot tub, and steam room. Also has a games room with table tennis, pool table, and a squash court (£3 for hour to use court)Only small negative otherwise I would give in 5 star is no restaurant and you need a car here as it's far away from town. But it's nice to be in a quiet area.

The site is quiet and set in lovely grounds. The best features are the staff who are so helpful and friendly. There's a pool, sauna, jacuzzi and fitness room onsite. The onsite restaurant was closed during our stay but a street food van and burger van were onsite Monday and Friday. A very nice first holiday in 2026

Had a weeks stay here with my wife. We had lodge T10 which was lovely and clean, plenty of room and parking outside the property. We loved the daily visits from peafowl and a guinea fowl. One thing missing (as happens in most catering properties we visit) was a wall clock. All staff we spoke with were very friendly but Laura on reception was exceptional.We received texts daily reminding us of current events on site and also road closures.WARNING: Nothing to do with the Country Club itself, but the local roads are in a terrible condition - large, deep potholes along with deep gouges along the central white line. Could be great!

Nice hotel. Arrived at check-in and couple in front of us were also checking in and got offered a glass of bubbly. We thought 'wow, what a great welcome'. Alas we were not so fortunate. No idea why they were offered but not great when others are not so lucky.Was told that the bar and restaurant closed, could you the pool but they charge for towel AND had to give them £100 security deposit for any damages we may make!!!Room lovely though building right next to the main road so could hear the fast traffic speeding by through the night. Microwave and fridge in the room.Ready to check out and hand back the room key and was asked to wait whilst the receptionist was chatting on the phone about different booking offers. We gave it 5mins and I then just told her we were leaving and she made us feel rude for being ready to leave. 'Which room were you in?' She asked. 11 we told her. Which room 11, we have a few! We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit on an RCI exchange. Clean and good sized accommodation. Kind and helpful staff. The swimming pool was a bonus. It is isolated and we travelled in a very wet February.
