    Dated…

    rating04 Jun 2026

Currently staying here as it’s an ideal location for the racecourse (about a 15 minute walk).Check in was easy though the lady on the counter (oldish with hand tattoos) was rude, grumpy and abrupt. Though the two lads working on the bar on the evening were nice. The bar looks nice but is dated and doesn’t have any draught beers and does close early, although there’s a garage around the corner if you want to drink in your room (they did give me that option to also).Rooms are quite dated, mine has a lamp that doesn’t work and the plug for the bath was far too small so was only left with the option of a shower which isn’t ideal as I was with my toddler so I was unable to bathe her.The inside door doesn’t close either so for my safety I had to prop something in front of it just for my safety. If I were to go racing again and stay overnight I would stay here just for the location but that aside I wouldn’t go out of my way.

    Very disappointed visitors

Great location to race course, dirty, run down, unsafe fittings (light switch feel off in my hand). Breakfast was ok, as they didn't have enough stock, therefore couldn't offer full breakfast with everything it stated it came with.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in

    rating29 Mar 2026

Worst night sleep I have EVER had. Room FREEZING...radiator in there but difficult to operate. Switched itself off after a short time so you had a choice whether to get up in the freezing cold and try and switch it back on, or just stay under the blanket!Bed lumpy, no spoon to make a cup of tea. Horrible place - like pontius in the 80s but worse!!
