    I am not a prolific review writer but felt compelled to on this occaision as I thought some of the other reviews were a tad unfair - This is the third time I have stayed here in the last year - to attend family events. The hotel is a really good option if you are staying on Teeside - The rooms that we have had (we have two rooms each stau) have been modern, clean and well equipped - The vreakfast were good, with a wide selection and cooked promtly - The gym and spa whilst not state of the art are fine - the steam room and sauna good. Some of the areas look a little tired and the bar is a little souless - but overall it is a pleasant place to stay - What was particulary good was the findliness and helpfulness of all the memebers of staff we dealt with - The only this I would change is the availability of accessible rooms - Certainly it desrves better than the review rating it currently has

    Had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. The location couldn't have been more perfect for accessing Eaglescliffe golf course, quite literally a 2 minute walk. The staff went above and beyond and were so welcoming and friendly. A particular mention to Amelia who nothing was too much trouble for, and allowed us to store our clubs in the function room. Also, to Wendy who always enquired about how our day on the golf course had gone, these little touches really made the stay. The staff really seem to enjoy their job and are a credit to the hotel.We only had breakfast at the hotel, but it was deeeelicious! The pancakes with Nutella and strawberries were 10/10. The room was everything it needed to be, airy, clean, and with a lovely soft comfortable bed. A great night's sleep every night, would definitely return is visiting the area again.Rebecca

    Located within walking distance of Yarm. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Unfortunately the room was very poor and in need of renovation. It was nothing like the pictures posted on the Best Western App. Very deceptive.

    Lovely place .comfortable beds cosy rooms. Food great ..but fried breakfast is covered in. Grease .but tastes nice

    We booked 1 overnight stay for our wedding anniversary. Welcomed on arrival at the front door. Lady at the reception desk was wonderful - Very friendly and quick check in service. We really enjoyed the swimming pool on both days. I’m 5 months pregnant but my Husband really enjoyed the hot tub. The only downside is no hairdryer in both the changing rooms or our bedroom. I had to towel dry my hair, just something to remember to pack if staying here. I did just assume they have a pool facility it would have been provided to customers staying over. We headed down to have a drink at the bar before our meal. After waiting for 5 minutes another group came over and asked us how long have we been waiting. They said nobody came last time and one of them actually phoned the reception desk line for attention. No bell/buzzer to inform staff there’s guests waiting to be served. The group behind us left after a 10 minute wait. Nobody was also on the reception desk the whole time we waited. When we did get served we were told the blackcurrant juice was sold out. Disappointed as I usually mix this with my non alcoholic drinks. We had the one drink and decided to head out to Yarm for drinks and eat food out instead. Disappointing as it put us off going back to the hotel bar again due to the first experience we had. We both really enjoyed breakfast the next day. Service was fast and the lady serving was absolutely lovely! We even asked for the orange juice to be refilled and she was more than happy to help. Overall we had a lovely stay. Room was very clean. Service other than at the bar was spot on. 4/5 star from us.
