  Durham Travelodge never fails to deliver. We stay when ever we go to the city. The refurbished room was excellent, very comfortable and well presented. The staff as always very welcoming and helpful

  We had an excellent three night stay. Check in was quick, we followed the signs to leave luggage in the car until we were assigned our building.We were allocated a room in the annexe building up the back and loved it. You could smell the new carpet smell as soon as we opened the door.The room was fresh, large, clean and perfect temperature. A fan is provided for warmer nights.There is ample parking and staff are happy for you to leave the car after checking out which was great to allow us to go into town for breakfast before heading off.It's around a 15 minute walk into town which was fine for us as the weather was great, wouldn't be quite as keen in the rain but no great hardship.We found an excellent Vietnamese restaurant, Vina Pho, less than 10 minutes walk from the travelodge if you cut through the top car park which was excellent and saved the trip into town for dinner. There's also a pub there too although we didn't go in. Looked fine though.Overall a great stay and I'd have no hesitation in going back.

  This Travelodge is well placed about a 10 minute walk into the centre.Very clean on the outside & I stayed in the adjacent Annexe Building which was very well maintained.The room was clean & the Temperature set was spot on as outside it was 30° plus.Room well stocked with Tea/Coffee & booking in procedure took less than a minute

  Fabulous grade 2 listed building! Linda & Nick were amazing. They asked if I was travelling solo, and made sure my room was was situated in the main building for optimum safety.

  Arrived slightly early 2.30ish but no problem to get key early. Felt very welcome and saw how well reception lady Linda dealt with others too.
