This hotel enjoys a beautiful location directly beside the famous Lauder College and a business centre, near the M90 motorway. The centre of Dunfermline with its many shops and entertainment venues is some 30 minutes walk away. The city of Edinburgh lies approximately 35 minutes drive from the hotel.

82 rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Good for an overnight stay

    We arrived for an overnight stay, the car park was a good size with good size spaces, sad thing is it’s completely littered with cigarette butts. Check in was easy, room was clean and had shampoo and body wash complimentary. Our evening meal was a bit of a let down, over cooked but still managed not to be piping hot. Service was fine, though I did notice that the layout of the hotel means that the person doing the checking in etc is also the same person taking food orders and serving drinks, so at times the poor girl was so busy. The bed was a little uncomfortable for me, but that’s just my preference. The room was a good size as was the TV. Breakfast next morning was similar to the evening meals; overcooked and lukewarm. Not much choice on the hot breakfast part. This hotel is good for an overnight stay, but I personally wouldn’t stay longer.     Clean & comfy but in the most random place

    Used this holiday inn as base camp to visit friends up Kinross and its your typical Holiday Inn Express, clean, comfy and does the job!But.... why on earth you'd stay here unless you had a good reason to is beyond me! Its in a complete random location, literally within the Fife College campus, opposite an Asda, literally nothing around or to walk too.     Friendly welcome when we arrived a bit early. Room was available, it was clean and spacious and very comfortable.Great sleep. The breakfast was simple and very tasty, set us up for a day visiting the East Neuk. Good location just off the Motorway for onward travel.     Sewage smell from drains! So relaxing….

    I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Dunfermline in room 010 and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience.When we first entered the room, the bathroom smelled strongly of bleach, which initially gave the impression it had been thoroughly cleaned. However, after using the shower and returning later in the evening, the bathroom had a very strong sewage smell that filled the room.It became clear that the bleach had been used to mask an underlying drainage issue rather than resolve it. This made the stay extremely uncomfortable, especially after returning to the room later on.It was also evident that the hotel is aware of this issue, which is concerning, as the room should not have been allocated to guests in this condition.Overall, this was a disappointing experience and could have been avoided with proper maintenance rather than a temporary cover-up.
