  Stylish Stay with Standout Service, but Noticeable Night Noise

  We chose this hotel for its location, full bar, and room service, and it largely lived up to expectations. Each room is unique and our room was perfect for our style (we stayed in the Berlin). It was very comfortable and thoughtfully maintained with nice touches. It is a perfect hotel for you if you enjoy a vibrant nightlife and late mornings, even though our own partying days are behind us. Service was a highlight throughout our stay. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, and they went out of their way to make our anniversary feel special with some bubbly, which was a lovely surprise. Room service was consistently reliable, and while the kitchen seemed a bit limited during our visit, the lighter fare we ordered was enjoyable. The drinks were outstanding. The location is excellent, with plenty to see and do and fine dining options just steps away. That said, exterior noise is something future guests should be aware of. It was especially noticeable on weekend nights, with nightlife sounds continuing well into the AM hours. Bringing some form of noise cancellation or white noise for your stay will be helpful, but light sleepers may find it disruptive (or alternatively, just join the revelers). Overall, a stylish and well-located hotel with exceptional service and thoughtful touches, best suited for those comfortable with a lively nighttime atmosphere.   Stylish and central stay in need of a slight refresh

  This is a small hotel very close to the main Edinburgh Waverley train station. I had reserved the Sydney Junior Suite, and found that the hotel very much lived up to its "boutique" label - tastefully decorated, very spacious and comfortable, and with many useful amenities. I had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed great sleep. Front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful.Unfortunately I found issues with the control panels for the lights in the room, which were worn out and many of the buttons didn't work. This seems an odd lapse in maintenance for such an otherwise luxurious hotel. It should be noted that while junior suites are advertised as including free VIP entry to the nightclub, it is only open three nights a week (Wed/Fri/Sat).   Delightful boutique hotel with a wonderful location in Edinburgh.

  I really enjoyed my quick stay. Can’t comment on food or drinks as I didn’t have any…but the location (close to Waverley), friendly staff and beautiful, inviting room demand that I write this review. I needed a luxurious room for a one night stay with a specific location and Le Monde delivered. Can’t speak highly enough about this hotel. Oh…and good shower water pressure. So appreciated from this spoiled American.   Too noisy for us 🫣

  This is a stay of two halves. We arrived Wednesday and the hotel was pretty good overall. Pros:LocationAmbienceStaff very friendlyBedroom huge Comfy bed Amazing showerCons:Breakfasts slow and coldCheap bread used No food available in hotel during the dayRoom needed some touching upBar in hotel needs a good clean (the under bar visible when you are sat in front of it has multiple chewing gum deposits and clumps of fluff and hair - right in your eye line if you’re in a booth). Reception constantly unmanned. Then Friday hit. Wish we’d seen the other reviews. Suddenly the peaceful, relaxing vibe of the hotel has become Butlins weekender. Pounding dance music from early afternoon. Huge groups of wasted people including hen nights partying from early afternoon. Followed by the thumping base of the on site nightclub keeping you awake until 3am. Both Friday and Saturday night. And you know what? It’s obviously popular for them and what they need to survive. Fair play. Just not for us after a day of site seeing and wanting to chill out.
