    Novotel Edinburgh center is located inthe heart of Edinburgh! In just 10 minutes you can reach the Edinburgh castle on foot , not to mention grasshopper market, old town, Edinburgh bus station and much more. The hotel rooms are super clean and the staff, Manisma and Massimo, in particular, are accommodating, friendly, welcoming and very helpful!!! I have never encountered such a staff! The hotel room prices are honest… good quality for the money. The atmosphere is fantastic and very familiar and the food is outstanding. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for accommodation in Edinburgh!     Convenient but very expensive

    Starting with the positives:- The location is fantastic, and we were able to access blue badge parking at the hotel which was reserved for us which takes a big worry out of staying away from home. - The room was very clean and spacious. We paid more for a castle view as this was our first visit to Edinburgh and this felt really special. - The breakfast was very nice, we didn’t experience a long wait for anything and the staff were really attentive to clearing and keeping it clean. The negatives:- We paid £789 for a 2 night stay (£394 per night) and felt this price really wasn’t justified. The room lacks any special touches (Novotel Blackfriars leaves biscuits and hot chocolate in the room for example which isn’t replicated here), the reception was efficient but not exactly warm and welcoming on either check-in or check-out. The bathroom situation is quite strange and there really isn’t a lot of privacy. Additionally our shower door didn’t close properly so water went everywhere each shower. All in all we wouldn’t be able to justify another stay here for this price point.     Had a lovely stay at Novotel Edinburgh Centre. The staff were absolutely amazing and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect for exploring the city, with everything nearby.The food was great, the hotel was super clean, and the swimming pool and sauna were very clean, relaxing, and well maintained.     Great location, good value

    We appreciated our stay at the Novotel. The location was great -- close to the Grassmarket and many pubs/cafes, and an easy walk to the tram. Our kids loved the pool. We saved some money by eating at the cafes in the area/getting breakfast to go from Sainsbury's around the corner rather than paying for the breakfast.     This hotel is magnificent. I'll start by describing the fantastic staff. Annie Lau, the reservations manager, is extraordinary! Always ready to improve our stay, very attentive, and ready to fulfill every request! The reception staff are extraordinary! Kind, attentive, and always smiling! Enrico, you are irreplaceable, attentive, and ready to solve any problem, even if this hotel doesn't have any! Fernando, the restaurant manager, is always ready to fulfill any guest request! The dinner buffet is excellent, and Fernando is extraordinary! Friendly, professional, and very helpful. The rooms are very well-maintained and very clean.The hotel's location is fantastic, in the city center but the rooms are quiet!I love this hotel because, in my opinion, it's the best in Edinburgh, and I travel often for work!For me, staying at the Novotel is like coming home; it's a unique hotel, and the staff is incredible, always smiling and, above all, very helpful!Annie Lau is the star of this hotel, and her staff is exceptional.
