Great room, staff and location in downtown Edinburgh... and the price was reasonable.

We spent 4 nights at this terrific hotel and, though we were out exploring Edinburgh the majority of the day, we equally enjoyed our time in the hotel room. We were given an upgrade from our initial booking to room 8, which was spectacular and quite literally left us speechless when the staff member opened the door for us.The staff that we dealt with were all great and the price was quite affordable given the hotel's downtown location.The breakfast in the attached Bistro was quite good and very convenient. The staff in the Bistro was also very good and helpful.I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as place to stay.

I had a wonderful stay. I arrived in Edinburgh at 9:00 AM and planned to drop off my bag at the hotel before going sightseeing. To my pleasant surprise, my room was already ready, so I was able to check in immediately.The room was located just one flight of stairs up and featured a beautiful large bed, a comfortable chair and desk, and a clean bathroom. I am a light sleeper and struggle with insomnia, but I slept incredibly well. I slept from 9:00 PM until 7:00 AM without hearing any noise at all.The hotel also has a very convenient location: right next to Calton Hill and Princes Street, and only a few minutes’ walk from the main train station. I was able to do all of my sightseeing on foot, including Edinburgh Castle.

A great visit made better due to kind staff

Great location with super comfortable rooms. Best water pressure and shower we have experienced in Scotland (including chain hotels). A special shout out to the front desk/concierge Mills who helped us with some travel paperwork and helped make our visit to Edinburgh great.

I am so glad we booked this hotel! The staff were so friendly, our suite was large, with a fireplace & soaker tub and huge bed. So much character. But even better was the location! It's just a few blocks away from everything you want to see & night life in Edinburgh but the location gives you the quiet you need when you need it! Highly recommend.
