    The Resident Inn is new, clean and everything functions well. The staff was excellent. That is the good part. The rooms are extremely small and cramped. The designer of the bathroom should have their license revoked. If not very careful the shower will flood the entire bathroom and the tissue despenser is behind you when you need it. Also, the hotel is way overpriced. I needed two single beds so they said I had to have a King/twin room. For that I was charged $945.67 (USD) for two nights. Also there is no restaurant on site.     The Residence in Edinburgh is Top-Knotch in All Ways!!

    This newer hotel is splendid in all ways! It's right in the heart of New Town Edinburgh in walking distance to restaurants, pubs, historical places and shoppes. The staff is friendly and very helpful and it's appointed beautifully throughout the reception areas, gathering areas and the rooms.They do not "serve" breakfast, however in the in-room refrigerator they provided (gratis) a full container of fresh strawberries and blueberries as well as a half dozen yogurts, 3 bottles each of organic unfiltered apple and orange juices. They also deliver a freshly baked croissant to each door in the morning. There was a Nespresso coffee maker in the room and all plates/bowls/utensils and glassware necessary to enjoy all the goodies. HIGHLY recommend!!

    The hotel is situated near the university close to the museum which is what we wanted. There's plenty of quality eateries and restaurants close by and we particularly like Soderberg for its Pizzas. Our hotel room was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The staff were all pleasant and very helpful.All the hotel was super clean and you get free coffee and tea in the lobby.

    Lovely hotel, rooms recently refurbished to a high standard. Very clean staff are friendly. Easy walk to the old town. We dropped 1 star due to the breakfast disappointing. Cold food with not much selection for the English breakfast. Apart from this we would definitely return.
