    A good surprise.

We arrived and we’re shocked to see how lovely this place is. The only negative being we couldn’t go in the restaurant due to it being under an upgrade. Erica was an absolute star and made our trip with all her help and welcoming personality. Will be back!

Great value for money, clean and comfortable stay

Had a lovely stay here. A warm welcome, clean room and comfy bed. Yes the hotel currently does not have a restaurant and this information can be found online before your stay. For the price we paid it was just perfect. The Ley arms in Kenn is a lovely pub to visit and also the Seven Stars just a 10 minute walk is extremely friendly and accommodating with great food drinks on offer.

    Not ideal

    rating30 Nov 2025

Bedroom and bathroom clean, bed comfy. Restaurant and bar don’t exist. No staff present on site. Room at front with no double glazing meant no sleep due to constant traffic noise. Alarmed to get up in morning to find a man sleeping in the corridor. The Exeter Court Hotel next door is far superior with lovely bar and restaurant Would not stay here again.

    Not an hotel!!

This not an hotel - it's purely a boarding house that offers bedrooms - NOTHING ELSE! There is a restaurant 50 yards away that serves a wonderful range of Indian food.

Loneliest Hotel EVER!What you need to know before booking (and I stayed last week)... No bar, it's closed, no breakfast, it's closed, No staff (there was a member of staff when we checked in) I didn't see anyone at all after check-in. It's very drab and dated. It's in the middle of nowhere, no shops, no pubs, you stay in your room, there is literally nothing else, the bar advertised is NOT open. The view is the A38/wasteland and the windows don't open to allow air or the glorious sound of traffic. Instead the room had the world's loudest aircon unit. No fridge, no bottles of water in the Deluxe Rooms. The floorboards were peeling back, the bath tub had cracked tiles, the shower area grout was mouldy.
