  It’s the little things that make the difference.

  It’s the little things that make the difference and those weren’t really present for our stay to be honest. We stayed here for 1 night because we were attending a wedding at a nearby hotel and they didn’t have any rooms left so we booked this as it was only 10 minutes away. We got back to the room late and were exhausted as we had also attended a wedding the day before so we wanted to chill out and watch the Scotland game. The TV wasn’t working. My husband is fabulous with tech and he couldn’t sort it so we soon realised to have this fixed we would have had to call down to reception and would probably have had to move room but after our two days of weddings, this was the last thing we wanted to do! So we couldn’t watch the TV in the room. For £150 for one night this isn’t great to be honest. Breakfast was also a bit of a shambles. My husband and I ended up eating our breakfasts separately because he went up first and by the time I went up to get mine, I had to wait for more food to come out. I had already popped eggs and beans on my plate and had to wait over 5 minutes for sausages or bacon to be put out. There were 5 or 6 other people gathered waiting too and it was hot and uncomfortable. My food was then cold by the time the sausages and bacon came out. The receptionist asked how our stay was and when my husband brought up the TV she instantly blamed a potential fuse outside the room which wasn’t what caused the TV issue and instead of potentially offering some kind of goodwill, she sent us on our way. Like I said, for £150 for 1 night we would have expected a better breakfast service and a working TV. Wouldn’t book this hotel again.   Great location on the racecourse

  The hotel is ideal for any racegoer, it was well organised particularly with onsite parking and check-in. The room was as expected, comfortable and clean. The bar was reasonably priced considering it is a Hilton. Breakfast was also provided as part of the booking, it was ok, but could have been better. Please also train your bar staff to make an Aperol Spritz, the one I had was terrible!   A day at the races

  We stayed at hotel for race day. The hotel is lovely and room was very comfortable. Staff were welcoming on a very busy day. My only disappointment was quality of food. We ordered food at 8pm and there were a number of items unavailable. We waited 45 mins for food and had to locate our own cutlery. The food was not great. My husbands burger and presentation was very poor. My lasagne was microwaved to the limit and cremated at edges. Disappointed.   We just wanted to share our sincere thanks to the team at Hampton by Hilton Hamilton.What was meant to be a one-night stay unexpectedly turned into four nights after our car broke down, and we had to cancel our holiday. Naturally, we were really disappointed, but the staff truly made a difficult situation so much easier for us.Throughout our stay, the team showed genuine compassion, great humour, and a willingness to help wherever they could. Their kindness and understanding did not go unnoticed, and it made a stressful experience far more manageable.The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was varied and well cooked, and the gym facilities were excellent.We’re incredibly grateful for the care we received—thank you all so much.   Not you usual chain hotel.

  Stayed in many chain hotels over the years also worked for them. This hotel does what it says on the tin. Great well appointed rooms, heating that works well, essential in Scotland in January. Parking even when hotel full. Great breakfast. However what makes it special, the hotel team, exceptional. Great management and shows. Will be back hopefully for another old boys reunion.
