    Wedding weekend

    rating31 May 2026

Just wanted to say we had a lovely 2 night stay at the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful & good quality & all of the staff were amazing & very friendly. Also a big thank you to Michael on front desk, who helped us out immensely & got us in our room, a lot earlier, because he knew we were going to the wedding. Room also lovely, that looked over the Clyde. Highly recommended.

Seamless check in & free car park. Cracking bar area with very attentive staff; cracking seats outside the hotel overlooking the Clyde (River).Tremendous dinner, lovely leak soup; home made; very tasty fish and chips.Breakfast was brilliant; all that you wanted was available. The staff were excellent throughout; really genuine people who obviously have worked at this hotel for many years; a true credit to the Hilton brand; you should be proud of your level of service.........

The stay was a great experience made even better by the lovely staff, special mention to the bar man named Dean who made our staying experience even better, with a nice touch of class to his work. Great value deal from My Hotel Break

    rating16 May 2026

First time staying here on great deal through My Hotelbreaks @ £60 pp on B&B with an additional 20 % off any food & drink, free parking (Usually £12 for hotel guests) and no weekend supplements. We stayed on a Saturday night as attending an event at the Riverside Museum. I had contacted the hotel prior to our stay asking if a quiet room away from ground level and early check was possible? Got a quick e-mail reply, happy to say with these being noted on booking but can't be guaranteed. On arrival about 12.30 after few hours driving. I knew where hotel was and It's easy to see once you are in location. However I drove past the car park, as I couldn't see any signs informing of the car park entrance. I did mention this to Michael at Reception on arrival, who said there's a big Hotel sign , yes but no actual car park signs. Which he said had never been mentioned before, maybe just me after a stressful journey. I also was not sure which side of the hotel Reception was on as no signs from car park either but there are entrance doors on both sides of the hotel. Reception also pointing out that check in wasn't until 3 but I did say an early check in had been requested. To which he replied , can't be guaranteed. Anyway room was ready happy to say, allocated Room 533 on the 5th floor and requested a credit card to secure against room. I said my half of the bill was being paid cash. Was told hotel is cashless . Finally got sorted and went to room nice size, clean and tidy with a side street/hydro view. No decaf tea or milk on tea tray and as Bathroom is quite small. Was surprised no extractor fan as can get hot when shower was in use. Towels and Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries were nice and comfy big bed. We opted for few things off the small plates menu before heading out mid afternoon. Note the menu in room is slightly different from the one in Restaurant. We had 2 lots of the crispy chicken strips and they were lovely and crispy, 1 of the nachos and 1 of the portobello mushroom fries. All tasty but I thought only 1 portobello mushroom cut into strips was a bit much for £7.50. We had a few other sides later in the evening and to save us having to pay a room service charge. We ordered and were called to collect food when ready, which was very helpful of the female member of staff, had dark hair, glasses and suit jacket on thankyou (sorry didn't get name) Breakfast was usual hot and cold selection with good choice. I requested a copy of our bill after breakfast to take up to room before check out but the 20% off had not been applied to our food. When I phoned Reception , Michael asked had we presented our card on ordering? No as we didn't know we had to but as we did sign the order receipts and provided room number , thought would be on Room info but bill was amended accordingly. All staff during our stay were friendly and helpful. Location is good if attending an event nearby as hotel isn't in city centre. Another great deal from MHB , would recommend and return. Thanks Michael Boyle, Owner at Hilton Garden Inn Glasgow City Centre, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback.
