    One night stay

    rating12 Apr 2026

Booked for an overnight stay with friends on a deal which included bed and breakfast, as well as a free pizza voucher. The room was clean, but was on the small side. The view was non existent as we were on the second floor looking inward into a shaft formed by the other inward facing rooms. However, we were out and about after checking in so not really an issue.Reception was on the first floor and as part of check in we were asked for bank card details in case of breakages or damage during our stay. Found this a little disappointing and have never had to do this before, including a stay in another IBIS last year. Felt it dampened the warmth of welcome. Card details were manually keyed in so I'm assuming these will be deleted after a guest departs.Breakfast was disappointing. When cooked items ran out they took a long time to replace. Brown was not replaced when it too ran out. The last roll was hard and again no others were brought out. The hash browns were hard and the scrambled eggs dry. Ended up having bacon and beans on toast. The bar is open 24/7 and we used our pizza voucher on our return at night. Both pizzas we had were tasty and well cooked. Staff generally were friendly but the lack of action in replenishing breakfast items or checking the quality of what was left was disappointing.Overall our stay was ok. The location is good and for what we paid it was reasonable, notwithstanding the breakfast experience. Would probably look elsewhere if we return to Glasgow.

    Ridiculously good Hotel

    rating17 Mar 2026

Cannot praise this Hotel enough! Room was immaculate, described as Queen but the bed was huge! Great spacious walk in shower, plenty of space in the room itself, usual tea coffee making facilities. I didn't turn the T.V on so can't comment on that but decent Wifi, around 150mbps down and 80 up when I did a test. Very handy over bed table for working on a laptop if you don't want to be sitting at the desk. Everything was clean and the Reception/Bar staff were all great, cheery and helpful. If you don't want housekeeping you even get a free drink from the bar, bonus! Yes there are a few scuff marks on the walls here and there but it is a working Hotel so that has got to be expected, the room itself, bathroom sheets etc were all spotless. Bar/Reception is open 24/7 which is always handy.Location is incredible, a couple of mins walk from Buchannan Street, Argyll Street or Merchant City depending on which way you go.Parking is available at NCP Glassford street at the discounted rate of £9 per 24 hours with a validated ticket from reception and is a 2-3 min walk from the Hotel, really handy. My room, 517, was rear facing and had no other room near me so was incredibly quiet, didn't hear a thing my entire 2 night stay. Aircon/heating also works great, a little noisy but not bad. Finally the value is amazing, I booked direct and paid around £60 per night for a Sunday and Monday mid March room only, which I'm sure can fluctuate greatly depending on the time of the year and if the if there is anything on in the city but for that price or anything close I don't think it can be beaten in Glasgow. I will certainly be staying here again and encourage anyone else to do the same.

My closet at home is larger than this room.

    rating11 Mar 2026

We didn’t choose this hotel ourselves… it was assigned by our tour group, and unfortunately the logistics were rough from the start.First problem: the bus can’t get anywhere near the hotel. After a long travel day, that means dragging luggage through damp weather just to reach the entrance. Then comes check-in. Reception isn’t on the ground floor but up a level and a half. With about 40 people arriving at once, all with luggage, the choices were a tiny elevator that fits maybe four people… or carrying bags up the stairs. The elevator hallway itself is only about 10 x 30 feet, so roughly half the group squeezed inside while the rest of us waited outside in the rain. The room was extremely small. Ours measured roughly 9 x 15 feet. With a queen bed there was barely room to move, plus a very small closet and a bathroom really suited for one person at a time. This hotel might work for a single traveler with light luggage, but it’s definitely not ideal for groups. Unfortunately, our tour company didn’t seem to consider the logistics.

    Another Great Stay

    rating22 Feb 2026

My second time of staying at this hotel on fab My Hotel Break deal of £44.50 pp for B&B with free pizza to share and late checkout. This time our room 207 was in better part of hotel and a more pleasing layout . I arrived about 1 o'clock and happy to say room was ready, earlier than the advertised check in time. Which was welcome after my journey and male member of staff who checked me in was friendly and helpful. Room looked onto the road at front of hotel but not noisy. As is off the main roads and great location just behind both Argyll St & George Square. We opted for the Salt & Pepper Chicken pizza this time and was tasty. Breakfast was usual hot buffet but had to ask for some of the hot items to be topped up. No Sourdough bread or DeCaf tea but gluten free bread provided when asked. Overall another great stay and would return and recommend. Thanks
