    Lovely hotel and very friendly staff especially the receptionist when we arrived who was very helpful to us. Had a room overlooking the river. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Went to the rooftop bar with great views. On our second night in the rooftop bar was fairly quiet when we were in but felt the staff could have cleared some of the tables that had dishes and glasses on them, they were still there when we left about an hour later! I was always taught the bar and tables should be kept cleared and clean! It was good that we could park at the hotel.     Brilliant hotel. Having had a night at the Hydro. this was so close. We had an accessible room on 8th floor...what a stunning room, it was on a corner with floor to ceiling windows. Gorgeous wet room...huge!!!! Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all there. Fridge and safe in wardrobe, ironing board and iron. 55in tv on wall. Hairdryer and super comfy super king sized bed.     Dark ultra modern hotel very Red. Good size rooms. Okay with amenities. Staff at reception absolutely awful. Curt, unfriendly and not helpful. Spoilt the stay for me. Restaurant for break good variety of foods. Overall would not come. Stayed in better hotels in the area.     Let me start by saying the employees were fabulous. Everyone was helpful and pleasant. I hope this company knows how great they are. The atmosphere is strange with odd and somewhat bizarre wallpaper and furnishings. But, that is on me because I saw pictures prior to booking my stay. I have three complaints:1. The only place you can plug in the hair dryer is no where near a mirror and the cord was only about 3 feet long. Impossible to style your hair. The person at registration said that she thought they were new hairdryers. The one our room was definitely not new. 2. The flooring was so dirty that when getting in the shower the water hitting our feet washed black3. There is a note on the shower door that if you need a mat to keep from slipping, you need to ask for one. A little late once you are already in the shower. Clearly an issue that they should be directly addressing by having a mat in each room. The shower floor was slippery.     Service! What service?

    Service (What service?)This stay was one of our worst experiences having stayed in quality hotels world wide, we can only say that from the onset things just nose dived. Our experience was as follows.1/ web site would not allow us to check in on line.2/ check in was a fiasco. When we arrived people were queuing outside the front door. We realise that this was a peak check in time, it should have been staffed appropriately. Over 30mins to get to the desk is not acceptable.3/ on check in there was a private party in the adjoining bar / restaurant. The noise was unbelievable and the party goers appeared to be getting preferential treatment over the poor souls in the check in line.4/ had booked into the sky bar for a drink and snacks. Prices are extortionate for what you get. Both had a small plate dish ( believe me it was small) which had an accompanying garnish which consisted of lettuce that had seen better days (limp whith black edges and totally inedible). When this was pointed out to the waitress we got a limp apology and that was it.5/ we had specifically asked for a room close the lift due to my mobility difficulties. There were ten rooms closer to the lift lobby than ours6/ on returning from an evening concert we found the main downstairs bar closed and told we could use the Sky bar. On entering said bar it was heaving with at least three deep at the bar and not a spare seat. There is no way I could wait to be served and stand to drink because of my leg issues. We decided to use room service ha ha.7/ called the service number to be told that whilst the Sky bar was open they would not bring drinks to the room but we should go to the bar and bring them back ourselves. We explained the situation to a self claimed manager (Andy - totally refused to give us his sirname). He was totally unhelpful, rude and refused to take ownership of the issue even when we explained that the in room information clearly states that they are there to help 24 / 7. He gave us the email address to complain to.8/ on getting up this morning noticed that one of the pillow cases was blood stained. This had obviously been hidden by being the second pillow placed face down.9/ the self service breakfast selection was good but cold.9/ web site would not let check out on line.The upshot of all this is. We will never be returning to the Raffison Red and will warn anyone who asks for advice to steer well clear of this poor overpriced venue.
