  Located well,bus services run into the city frequently right outside.Room was spacious,the en-suite was tiny and there were no shelves to store toiletries conveniently in the shower area.The bed/bedding were old,the duvet was lumpy so had to keep fluffing it up,huge windows which were dirty especially outside.The breakfast was very nice,plenty of choice of both hot and cold options,the staff were very accommodating and friendly.The internal phone wasn't working so when I had a problem with the shower I had to call the reception on my mobile,the issue was dealt with very quickly though.On the website the breakfast is advertised as free - this was not the case,I had to pay £10 at reception,then give the receipt to the dining staff for my breakfast(an expense I didn't expect)the website needs amending on that issue.Had an enjoyable stay however and have loved Glasgow.

  Stayed in this hotel many times. Very helpful staff and very comfortable reception area. Room I stayed in was basic but clean and comfy bed. all I required. Perfect location for bus services, Kelvingrove park and also Art Gallery and museum. Byres Road just a 10 minute walk away. Loads of restaurants, cafes, small shops and pubs right on the doorstep. Will definately stay again!

  They take £50 from your bank account without permission or explanation if you forget to hand in your room key.

  On the day I checked out after staying for two nights they took £50 from my bank account without my permission and without telling me why. When I realised I had forgotten to hand in my room key I posted it to the hotel and thereafter phoned reception to ask if they had received it and would refund my £50. The receptionist said she would look into if but then said they had changed the room lock and would not refund the £50 they had taken without permission or explanation. She then said this was because I could have passed the key to someone else who could go into the room. I found this very insulting and asked her to send me an email with their terms and conditions where this was stated. She said it wasn't in their terms and conditions and refused to send them to me. Because of this I will be checking the legality of their behaviour and will mever stay there again.

  Excellent. Clean, spacious, 24 hour help desk, extremely well located (excellent pubs and shops nearby). Space on road for uber to collect right outside.

  Old Hotel need refurbishment

  Sandyford Hotel stayed here for 9 nights. So much cons instead of prosBooked this hotel thru Agoda and was informed by Agoda thru message in the app that this hotel have Lift and Aircond the 2 important facilities that decide the choice for us to stay.When we arrived 😓 there was no lift and no aircond in the room! The reception inform that the booking came from expedia instead of agoda. The information on the message by agoda was incorrect and it is a major set back and I have always use Agoda for most of my hotel booking and trusting the information given was correct. No lift and we were put up to level 2 which is 44 steps up. every-time going up the stairs it tires meNo aircond but we requested for a fan which they gladly gave for us to use, eventhough its cold outside but once in the room there's no air, we didnt switch on the radiator and we open up the window as much as possible but there was no privacy the building opposite us can see inside of our room when we were in the room. I specifically said no need housekeeping to be done during my whole stay BUT the housekeeping still came and change towels but toilet was not clean properly, trash in the toilet was not taken out, not all towels was replace, the hair from the drain was not taken outHad breakfast for £10 each just for dry scramble egg and tea for myself and my husband had poach egg and coffee. Too expensive for that 1 plate of eggThere was No fridge in the room so we cant put food/waterThere was No place to hang cloth in the toiletThe only PRO for this hotel are:Hotel is near to my daughter apartment which is just a block away Big space of room compare to previous hotel stays in europeGood wifi
