    One bad Apple at the Yotel Glasgow

    We went to Glasgow for 2 nights and stayed in the Yotel which was great at the start, from Alanna at the front desk where we got a complimentary upgrade with Breakfast included which was a real treat for my partner as she recently had a bereavement in the family and it seemed to turn her mind to get away from her recent loss, the staff were excellent including Tatianna at the rooftop bar. The problem started when we went up to the rooftop restaurant/ Breakfast room and we gave our room number to David who stated that we were NOT on the Breakfast list but hadn't even checked he had a colligue next to him which I can't remember her name but he was rude and very unprofessional he point blank did not believe us and it really made us feel like we were begging for breakfast when his colligue stepped in and checked on the computer and confirmed we were in fact on the breakfast list. This is the only flaw with the Hotel but a big disappointment for what was a lovely stay over all but feel the attitude and manner that David behaved let down his team and Hotel.     Great hotel in Glasgow city centre ideal for a quality stay the only thing that brings it down two a 4 star instead 5 .is there is NO TEA AND Coffee in the rooms and you have to purchase it at the bar there should be a free tea and coffee machine in the hotel for residents but would certainly stay again and just take a flask Ashley van Lieshout, Guest Services / Front Office at Yotel Glasgow, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback.     Room was fantastic, very spacious and quiet. Fantastic view of central station from the 5th floor. Room even had an iron and ironing board which was needed. Bar upstairs was lovely. Cocktails good. Breakfast in the morning was fab and had everything you could think of all laid out in separate areas with their own tongs. Even had veggie sausages.I would definately stay here again. Highly recommend.     I had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade on arrival, which was a nice touch.The room itself was clean and comfortable. However, there were a few maintenance issues: the bathroom lock was broken, one of the blinds didn’t fully close, and the adjustable bed was a bit temperamental at times.One thing I really appreciated was the TV system, it had all the information you could need about the hotel, which I found incredibly helpful and convenient during my stay.Would stay again Ashley van Lieshout, Guest Services / Front Office at Yotel Glasgow, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your feedback.
