We were not staying at the hotel but staying in Inverness for the Easter weekend we decided to book a table for eight in the restaurant on the Saturday night four of the party had a starter three of which arrived but before we had started all the mains arrived as well before the last stater came out it was a total shambles never again

Not a Good Experience.

Not a good experience. We arrived late after a 14 hour train experience and were assigned room 101.The window was blocked with a piece of wood from the outside (shoulda been a warning probably) and we found out early the next morning, he room very noisy. We heard every single step from the room above via squeaking floors - for two nights. we could also understand their discussions... Woke us up it was that loud.Room was nice enough and clean and hotel is in a beautiful spot (at least as you can see from the lobby) right on the river. easy walk into town. Staff were average I'd say - some were very helpful and I couldn't tell if we were bothering others or they were just having a bad day.2nd morning explained the wood in the window as there was construction of some sort (sounded like a jackhammer right at the window) starting between 8 and 9 am.Breakfast was good albeit very, very crowded and staff were harried due to the number of people.Next time in Inverness, we'll seek somewhere else.Do note after I responded to an email requesting feedback i did get a polite note back apologizing and noting they could have done better. I appreciate when mgmt stands up and admits there were things that could have done better. So that's a mark in the plus column.If you chose to stay here just be sure to not stay in 101. I'd get something on an upper floor facing the river.

The location is great next to the river walk and very close to the high streetIt’s a smart hotel full of character with lots of space in lounges and restaurantOur room although awful view was greatLarge bed , lovely bathroomBig TVWe were all inclusive so very good valueFood was varied and deliciousStaff were all very pleasant ( except lady who seemed in charge in the dining room who was always grumpyThe young waiters ( boys & girls) were so happy and the lads who moved all our suitcases were fantasticLeisure area is lovely Big pool and clean smart changing areasWonderful

A Palace Indeed

I have just returned from a 5 day coach holiday with Parrys International where we stayed at this Palace hotel. My wife and I were in room 10 which is a river and castle view and what a lovely room it was. The hotel is spotless throughout and the staff are all very hard working and friendly. We had a free bar in the evening starting at 7pm with a good list of beverages to choose from. The only thing that let me down personally was the food because I'm such a fussy eater but the food that was presented was delicious to look at and everyone seemed to enjoy it except me but that is no reflection on the kitchen staff whatsoever. I defy anyone to criticise anything with this hotel.

The staff were excellent. Really friendly and helpful. They were all great. Special mention to Chloe (I think) and Fiona on reception. The room was clean and good amenities with a good view of the castle. I also liked the pool , gym and sauna area. The rooms are quite small for what you pay for. The bathroom is very small and the rooms are not sound proof. You can hear everyone walking passed the door in the morning and everyone in adjoining rooms taking a shower which woke me up several times. But the staff are friendly and it’s a good location so I would stay again but perhaps in another room.
