A total disaster
05 Apr 2026
We were not staying at the hotel but staying in Inverness for the Easter weekend we decided to book a table for eight in the restaurant on the Saturday night four of the party had a starter three of which arrived but before we had started all the mains arrived as well before the last stater came out it was a total shambles never again Lorna Greene, Guest Services / Front Office at Inverness Palace Hotel & Spa, WorldHotels Distinctive, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us James.I am truly sorry to read about your experience when dining with us over the Easter weekend. This is not at all the standard of service we aim to provide, and I can only imagine how disappointing and frustrating this must have been for you and your party on what should have been an enjoyable evening. Please accept my sincere apologies for the poor timing of your courses and the lack of coordination during your meal. We clearly fell short on this occasion and I am very sorry for the impact this had on your visit.I would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you personally and see how we can make this right. Please do get in touch with us on 01463 223243 at your convenience, I would really value the chance to discuss this with you.Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.Kind Regards, Lorna

Not a Good Experience.
29 Mar 2026
Not a good experience. We arrived late after a 14 hour train experience and were assigned room 101.The window was blocked with a piece of wood from the outside (shoulda been a warning probably) and we found out early the next morning, he room very noisy. We heard every single step from the room above via squeaking floors - for two nights. we could also understand their discussions... Woke us up it was that loud.Room was nice enough and clean and hotel is in a beautiful spot (at least as you can see from the lobby) right on the river. easy walk into town. Staff were average I'd say - some were very helpful and I couldn't tell if we were bothering others or they were just having a bad day.2nd morning explained the wood in the window as there was construction of some sort (sounded like a jackhammer right at the window) starting between 8 and 9 am.Breakfast was good albeit very, very crowded and staff were harried due to the number of people.Next time in Inverness, we'll seek somewhere else.Do note after I responded to an email requesting feedback i did get a polite note back apologizing and noting they could have done better. I appreciate when mgmt stands up and admits there were things that could have done better. So that's a mark in the plus column. If you chose to stay here just be sure to not stay in 101. I'd get something on an upper floor facing the river. Lorna Greene, Guest Services / Front Office at Inverness Palace Hotel & Spa, WorldHotels Distinctive, responded to this review Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly value it as it helps us improve the experience we offer. Again, I’m very sorry for the disruption to your stay and that we didn’t deliver the level of service you should have received.Kind Regards, Lorna

A Palace Indeed
20 Mar 2026
I have just returned from a 5 day coach holiday with Parrys International where we stayed at this Palace hotel. My wife and I were in room 10 which is a river and castle view and what a lovely room it was. The hotel is spotless throughout and the staff are all very hard working and friendly. We had a free bar in the evening starting at 7pm with a good list of beverages to choose from. The only thing that let me down personally was the food because I'm such a fussy eater but the food that was presented was delicious to look at and everyone seemed to enjoy it except me but that is no reflection on the kitchen staff whatsoever. I defy anyone to criticise anything with this hotel. Lorna Greene, Guest Services / Front Office at Inverness Palace Hotel & Spa, WorldHotels Distinctive, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share such a great review following your stay. It’s great to hear how much you loved your room and that it made your visit even more memorable. We’re also delighted you found the hotel spotless and the team friendly and hardworking throughout. It’s lovely to know the evening bar and overall experience were a highlight. We completely understand that food preferences can be very personal but we really appreciate your kind comments about the presentation and the team. I will be passing on your wonderful comments to all of the teams! We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again in the future.Kind Regards, Lorna

Good location and friendly staff
10 Mar 2026
The staff were excellent. Really friendly and helpful. They were all great. Special mention to Chloe (I think) and Fiona on reception. The room was clean and good amenities with a good view of the castle. I also liked the pool , gym and sauna area. The rooms are quite small for what you pay for. The bathroom is very small and the rooms are not sound proof. You can hear everyone walking passed the door in the morning and everyone in adjoining rooms taking a shower which woke me up several times. But the staff are friendly and it’s a good location so I would stay again but perhaps in another room. Lorna Greene, Guest Services / Front Office at Inverness Palace Hotel & Spa, WorldHotels Distinctive, responded to this review Thank you for your kind feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed our central location and the leisure facilities and that the team made such a positive impression during your stay. Chloe and Fiona will be delighted to receive your mention. It’s also great to know you appreciated the views and the amenities in your room. We’re sorry to hear that the room size and soundproofing affected your stay and we appreciate you sharing this with us.We hope to welcome you back again in the future and will be happy to help you choose a room type that suits you better next time.Kind Regards, Lorna
