Stay away. Night club next door.

Absolutely terrible. Room was incredibly noisy next to a nightclub, open until 3 am. Hotel staff bluffed and blagged to pretend it wasn't their fault and this was somehow 'new news' (the club opened in 1990). Terrible value if you cannot get any sleep! Spaces are basic and a total rabbit warren.

Excellent hotel, right on the seafront and so close to the town centre. Superb staff in all areas and nothing too much trouble, rooms are large, well decorated and extremely comfortable. Would not hesitate to stay here again if in IOM and 100% recommend this hotel.

Recently returned from a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing short break at the Chesterhouse Hotel. From the minute we arrived the staff could not do enough to make sure we had a lovely time. Our bags were delivered to our room which was at the front overlooking the promenade, the room was modern, spotlessly clean, and very spacious with a large en-suite. The food was excellent with a very good selection both at breakfast and dinner. All the staff were extremely polite, very helpful and gave the impression that they just wanted us to enjoy our stay. The hotel is situated a short distance from the ferry port and the shops. There is a lounge area and a very nice library/quiet room. Would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in the Isle of Man.

The hotel is situated opposite the promenade, very good location.All the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble, they were very helpful.The food had a good choice carvery on a night, at breakfast I would have liked some continental choice, puddings should have been filled up more.Room at the back on the top floor, no view but nice twin room with a good sized bathroom, walk in shower. Very clean, good linen and lots of towels.Bar prices were on par with the pubs outside.

Very mixed feelings about the hotel. The staff are really friendly and their service is great. Now the hotel itself. The statements about it being like a warren are not exaggerated !!! The food ( Carvery) is bang average, if you don’t get in early you are left with the dregs. Other people have said the breakfast is great, it’s very limited in my opinion. The bar is not overly priced, however in the four nights we were there, the Stella was either flat, off or not available at all. Our room was clean, the en suite was galley and Sunday night we had music blaring out from Jaks ( next door) until 01.30. The location is superb, however there are only a limited amount of rooms sea facing, our vista was a fire-escape and a brick wall, but !!! Hopefully you don’t spend much time in there.
