We stayed here as part of a 2 day Travelzoo deal. Great location for walking into the centre of Harrogate and the grounds beautifully maintained. Large car park payable at £8 a day however we had this included in the deal. Lovely area when entering the hotel with plenty of nice seating, bar area and plants. Reception was efficient and welcoming. At the time of our visit the corridors were being upgraded but it didn't disturb us. The bedroom we were allocated was not what was advertised via Travelzoo. I presume this was one of the rooms awaiting upgrade. Not comfortable at all. Carpet like cheap felt and thin. Bed small and uncomfortable. Paintwork scuffed and doors scratched. Black mould around the bathroom. We wasn't expecting a big posh room but we were expecting the room advertised when we booked. Amber's restaurant was beautiful and a good selection for breakfast. Catered well for our plant based diet. Vegan sausages and plant milk available when asked. However on the first morning we were handed a stained carton of plant milk which even had a hair stuck to it. Not a good standard.All self serve buffet including drinks. Shame there were no teapots. Such a nice environment whilst having breakfast so it would of been nice to sit and have a pot of tea instead of a big mug. Food was topped up efficiently and staff were helpful. Feedback was given to the hotel regarding the room and hairy milk carton but didn't really seem to want to know. Therefore we wouldn't stay here again on our next adventure to Yorkshire .

Spent a fantastic Easter at this lovely hotel. Last visited it at Christmas 2021 and definitely worth the 3+ hours drive up the notorious A1 from Suffolk!!Stayed five nights chilling out to make up for a rotten Christmas break in Scotland. We ate well with excellent food and served by Gary, Paloma, Matteo, and Anne. Well done! Our room although defined as ‘Classic’ was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Harrogate Buses operate their electric buses past the hotel for the short ride into town as well out to Knaresborough, Ripon, and Leeds. Definitely returning for Christmas 2026..

Excellent location. The atmosphere was relaxed and staff were friendly, approachable and professional . Rooms were well presented, very clean with comfy beds. Food was excellent with a great choice at breakfast and Evening meal. Dining room decor was beautiful and totally unexpected. Reception staff - Eleanor especially - who helped us out - were always around to help as necessary.

we celebrated our daughter’s 21st birthday in the private dining room at Cedar Court Hotel Harrogate with a group of 26 family and friends, and the whole experience was absolutely exceptional.From start to finish, everything was handled beautifully. The food was incredible — generous, high quality, and genuinely delicious — and every guest commented on how much they enjoyed it. The team could not have been more accommodating or attentive, which made organising such an important celebration feel effortless and relaxed.A special thank you to Matteo, Maisie, and Pablo, whose impeccable service, warmth, and professionalism made the evening run seamlessly. They really helped make the occasion feel special for all of us.It was such a meaningful milestone for our daughter, and the atmosphere, service, and care from the team made it a celebration we’ll always remember.
