Hotel and staff good , breakfast diabolical. Large party booked in for breakfast and nothing left for anyone else !!!!!!

Staff good room good bed good BREAKFAST NON EXISTENT Simon Dodds, General Manager at Heeton Concept Hotel - City Centre Liverpool, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share feedback following the stay.It is very encouraging to hear that the team, room, and bed made a positive impression. However, it is extremely disappointing to learn about the breakfast experience. Please accept sincere apologies for the issues encountered. Running out of breakfast items due to a large group booking is not acceptable, and steps should have been taken to ensure all guests had access to a full and replenished offering. This will be addressed with the kitchen team to improve planning and stock management, particularly when large groups are in-house.The feedback has been noted and will be used to make improvements to ensure a consistently better experience for all guests going forward.Thank you again for highlighting this.

    3 day stay

    rating21 May 2026

Booked into the hotel for 3 nights to go to the RCN Congress. On the 2nd day I was shocked that the room hadn’t been cleaned at all, no fresh towels no clean bedding no toilet roll and bins were still full and starting to smell!! Also on arrival the lifts were broke and waited ages downstairs as I was on the 4th floor and my luggage was so heavy. The manager was reluctant to help me at first but then he did carry my case to the 3rd floor for me which was really nice of him as I have painful hips and knees. The lift was also not working the next day and I saw people being moved to the travel lodge late at night which isn’t good. I have never stayed in a hotel where you have no house keeping and on the last day I pulled the sheets back to check I hadn’t left anything and to my shock and horror found some nasty stains and what looked like bugs in the bed. Carpets were stained and the fan in the bathroom was loud all night. The bonus of the hotel was location it’s perfect but is in need to attention and the house keeping situation needs addressing as it’s disgusting Simon Dodds, General Manager at Heeton Concept Hotel - City Centre Liverpool, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share feedback regarding the recent stay while attending the RCN Congress. It is very concerning to read about the experiences described, and sincere apologies are offered for the multiple failures encountered throughout the stay. the expected standards. The issues with the lifts, especially on arrival and again the following day, are also deeply regretted. This would have been particularly difficult given the mobility concerns mentioned, and the inconvenience caused is fully acknowledged. While it is appreciated that assistance was eventually provided, it is disappointing that support was not immediately forthcoming.Furthermore, the cleanliness concerns raised regarding the bedding, carpets, and the bathroom fan are extremely serious. Reports of stained sheets and potential pests are taken very seriously, and these will be investigated immediately with both housekeeping and maintenance to ensure that appropriate corrective action is taken without delay. It is also concerning to hear about guests being relocated during the night, as this reflects a disruption that should have been better managed and communicated. While it is positive to hear that the location was a highlight, it is clear that the overall experience did not meet expectations. Please be assured that all feedback provided will be used to drive immediate improvements, particularly in housekeeping standards, maintenance responsiveness, and guest support.Thank you again for bringing these matters to attention.

    Away Match

    rating20 May 2026

Stayed here for 2 nights. Had room 501 it was clean & was very comfortable. The bathroom was suitable for a wheelchair user. There was 2 large towels. No hand towels. The room had a hairdryer & an iron. Althought the iron wasnt working. Took it to reception & reported it on our way out on the Sunday. They said they would replace it but they didnt. On the Saturday when we arrived one of the lifts was out of order. Then we went out on the Sunday & my husband went back to the hotel about 6 to get something & the 2nd lift was out of order. Maybe thats why we didnt get another iron.He was told someone was on their way to fix it but when arrived back around midnight it wasnt fixed. No one arrived until Monday. We were able to climb the stairs but wouldnt have been good for anyone with mobilty issues. All round hotel was good & great location. Easy checkin & out. Simon Dodds, General Manager at Heeton Concept Hotel - City Centre Liverpool, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback following the stay. It is genuinely appreciated. The feedback regarding the cleanliness and comfort of the room, as well as the suitability of the bathroom, is very encouraging to hear. However, it is disappointing to learn about the issues experienced with the iron, the lack of hand towels, and particularly the lift outages during the weekend. Please accept sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. The reporting of the faulty iron should have been followed through, and it is regrettable that this was not resolved before departure. This will be addressed with the team to ensure better follow-up on maintenance requests. The situation with both lifts being out of order, especially over a weekend and overnight period, is understandably frustrating and particularly concerning for guests with mobility needs. This falls below the standard that should be provided, and the delay in repairs is being reviewed to prevent similar occurrences in the future. It is appreciated that, despite these issues, there was still a positive impression of the hotel overall. All of the feedback provided will be used to improve both maintenance response and guest communication moving forward.Thank you again for highlighting these points.

Great location - a good enough hotel

    rating25 Apr 2026

Great location, literally a 3 minute walk from the docks. We were on the 5th floor and it was very quiet. There is air con although I would have preferred to open a window. Bed was big and comfortable and our room had a walk in shower. Shower was great! The hotel’s a bit impersonal and there’s little in the way of extra facilities. Smokers on the front steps had to be asked to leave to allow guests to walk in and out. However, as a base this hotel is fine.Chose not to have breakfast here so can’t comment. Simon Dodds, General Manager at Heeton Concept Hotel - City Centre Liverpool, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your recent stay with us. We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed our convenient location and found your room to be quiet, comfortable, and well-equipped—especially the shower, which is always great to hear!We appreciate your comments regarding the atmosphere and facilities. We understand that a more personal touch can make a big difference to a guest’s experience, and this is something we are continuously working to improve. We’re also sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused at the front entrance. This is certainly not the first impression we want our guests to have, and we will ensure this is addressed with our team.Thank you again for your constructive feedback—it helps us to enhance the guest experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide an even better stay.

    Not great and very tired

    rating24 Apr 2026

Fortunately only stayed one night… The very first and basic thing any “Hotel” should provide is a reasonable standard of bed…. Skipping any debate on whether your preference is a hard / softer mattress… on what was on offer here is an experience of being absorbed into a world of metal springs wrapping around your body while your back is wondering why the floor is so close, in fact trying to escape the bed became something of a task/complication during the night… needless to say not a lot of sleep was had. The room was basic but was clean… Depending on your expectations of a “Hotel” this is a place with rooms and a reception desk. Nothing wrong with this just to manage expectations and pictures you may see of this “Hotel” in another guise from certain booking sites “Stayforlonger” (AVOID). As i write this review waiting for my chiropractor to call me in.. I would probably advise to give this one a miss.. For those that still are determined to give this one a shot.. I salute you and may the sleep gods be with you! Simon Dodds, General Manager at Heeton Concept Hotel - City Centre Liverpool, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding the comfort of the bed. We understand how important a good night’s sleep is, and we regret that this was not your experience. We do appreciate your comments about the cleanliness of the room, but we are disappointed that overall the stay fell short for you. Please be assured that your feedback regarding the mattress and overall comfort has been noted and will be reviewed with the relevant team, as we are always looking to improve our guest experience. We also take your comments regarding how the property is presented seriously, and we will continue working to ensure that expectations are clear and accurately reflected.Thank you again for your honest feedback. We’re sorry we didn’t provide the level of comfort you were hoping for, and we do appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention.
