  Once again a great stay at the Ibis. Rooms are basic but great, clean and have everything you need. It is close to all amenities and the shops and also plenty of restaurants.

  My stay at this hotel was fantastic. The absolute best part is its unbeatable location, right opposite the Albert Dock and just a few minutes' walk from Liverpool's main attractions and the Beatles Quarter. The room was spotless, featuring a very comfortable bed and everything needed for a great night's rest. A special shout-out to Eli and Lewis at the front desk/bar—they were absolutely amazing, incredibly friendly, and helped us with great local recommendations. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to the city.   Basic but well priced hotel in a great location for checking out the city. Staff were helpful and available, pay the extra for the breafast which was worth the money and no one batted an eyelid to the packluncher guests filling their sandwich boxes for a cheap lunch.   Excellent location close to Albert dock and city centre.

  This hotel is in an excellent location - literally over the road from Albert dock which has lots of bars, restaurants, cafes. Albert dock has the hop on/off sightseeing bus stop and where you board the ‘Magical mystery bus tour’. The ‘Beatles story’ museum is also at Albert dock.The hotel is a short walk into the city centre- 10 min walk to Pier head, 10 min walk to Liverpool one shopping district and about 15 min walk to Matthew street and the cavern quarter.The hotel is a generic budget hotel chain, fairly basic. However the rooms, although slightly on the smallish side, were clean and comfortable. Tea/ coffee making facilities provided and a tv in the room.The buffet breakfast was £12.50 pp and it was average. Limited vegetarian option for the hot items.   More hostel than budget hotel

  We booked this hotel as 2 adults and a child and expected a budget hotel along the same lines as other big budget hotel names. However, this was definitely much worse and I wouldn’t recommend for families. We booked a family room and we were situated on the ground floor next to the car park so people continually were walking past the window, meaning we had to have the curtains closed the entire time.The whole room felt damp. The wall near the window was just wet and where my son had to sleep. The room itself had a really strong chlorine smell. We were originally given 1 towel between 3 of us and not enough pillows. We asked reception and did end up with enough towels but more pillows never materialised. The bathroom itself isn’t a proper bathroom. It’s a pod that’s full of plastic toilet, shower and sink. All were cracked, mouldy or rusty. It was also up a step which made it difficult for my son to use the toilet independently at night because he’d trip over the step. As it was so small, everything in the bathroom got soaked so you couldn’t keep makeup and other bits in there. However, there was no desk/dressing table so there was no where in the room to put them either.Breakfast was very, very basic and not to the standard of other budget hotels but it was edible. The staff were also kind and, although we never got the spare pillows, were friendly and welcoming. This is why I’ve given the hotel 2 stars.
