Location was an excellent, room was very comfortable and really had a peaceful time... atmosphere was great no noise very quiet, it's worth spending time in the hotel a lot cheaper than other places in Liverpool.. the staff was very friendly and helpful..will come back soon.

I’ve stayed here too many times to recall. To summarise The rooms are well appointed , the breakfast is continental. Just outside there a free car park at the rear & front of the hotel On the road just by the hotel , there are bus stop’s with frequent buses to the city and to Liverpool airport for £2 per person all day & night till around 00:00hr , they display at timetable on the stops for the schedule.Staff are very helpful and hotel is very quiet

    Only open 4-6pm apparently

Booked this hotel of booking.com as we were attending a funeral on may 21st and the wake was round the corner. £53 for the night seemed OK. They messaged saying what time would I be arriving as my stated time of 3.30pm was outside their reception times. I messaged back, explaining it was a funeral at 2pm.then onto the wake and could I arrive and drop bags off in the room at 3.30pm. The reply was a definite no but if I wanted to do that, I could book the night before! I travelled up from London for the funeral and went onto the wake. At 8.30pm decided to go to the hotel. Went on my app for the address and hotel had cancelled. I then asked booking.com for a refund. This morning (22nd may) hotel refused the refund as I didn't arrive at the reception opening times of 4pm to 6pm and booking was non refundable. Avoid if you cant turn up between 4-6pm! We eventually booked a travelodge who have a weird system of being open 24/7! No idea if hotel was nice etc but emails (which if hotel argue against, i can produce) suggest it's not!

Frankly it’s utterly appalling and the owners should be ashamed

The building itself is beautiful however, once you look past the initial part you quickly realise that it’s incredibly run down with very little care and attention being given. The wallpaper is peeling everywhere. Our bath had a crack in the back that was taped over with white tape and when I asked for a plug to take a bath, I was told “we don’t provide these.” Gobsmacked. The hot water barely gets up above “warm” yet they leave one of the radiators in the hallway on permanently which blasts heat up the stair case and into your room. The double bed was ludicrous. The mattress had collapsed in the middle so you felt as if you were sleeping at a 90 degree angle. Some of the main plug sockets didn’t work and breakfast is in a dingy basement room and just cheap tat.You want orange juice? Oh you’ll get squash. The croissants are stale and it’s utter rubbish.

Once more after many stays here all was what I wanted. This hotel is quaint in a nice way. A very personal experience with friendly helpful staff & a peaceful place to stay. I will of course be back whilst visiting family who live ten minutes walk away.
