    My experience

The staff at the front desk is a bit serious and not friendly but the rooms are all great and the cleaning service great as well. It’s well located and the toilets are always clean, that’s important to me and I’m sure for everyone. Great price and great service but front desk is something to work on.

    Immediately had to leave

Stayed for less than a couple hours and had to seek alternative accomodation. Would not recommend at all.The place had a general unnerving feeling about it and didn’t feel safe.Compared to other hostels I’ve stayed in this is far less secure, and pretty much could be accessed by anyone with the only security being the door lock to the individual room. Therefore, anyone could access the bathrooms, halls and all levels of the building at ease. The place is small and does not feel clean. Our room was someone’s house as they have permanent residents that was not disclosed to us at all. This meant food in the rooms and all of the “communal” elements such as the cupboard etc. was fully occupied and it felt as if we were intruding on someone’s house. Again this created a very unsafe feeling for two young girls staying here and was highly uncomfortable.

The worst place I have ever stayed. Not even worth it for the price. You have been warned!

Unfriendly unhelpful rude guy at the desk, didn't acknowledge me, greet me, say a word for 5 minutes while I stood there, just threw a check-in list at me and didn't say a word. Then when I started filling it out he said 'what are you doing? Just sign at the bottom'. So, so rude. Why is this guy even dealing with the public? He also didn't give me any/clear information about where my room was, where the toilets/showers/kitchen/TV room/laundry etc etc was, like every other hotel or hostel always does! He also didn't explain how to open the door with the key so I spent 10 minutes waking up all the people in the dorm fumbling with the door!- All the way out in Zone 2 at the very end of the Hammersmith line, it is absolutely not next to Goldhawk tube station, it is far, far closer to Hammersmith. I wasted an hour walking in the dark due to misleading and incorrect map information from the Abercorn house listed directions. The same unfriendly guy at the desk then argued with me about them being the same distance (total rubbish!)- Freezing cold showers at night, when you want to wash the London grime off your body. The showers were one of the redeeming features as they were clean so it's a shame they were cold as ice.- No lockers or lockable cages for personal belongings, like every single other hostel or hotel in any other major city and the rest of London has, why would I stay here again with all my valuables? And apparently they expect you to just 'trust' total strangers and the long term 'residents' not to take your valuables or steal your stuff out of a shared room.- Clean comfortable beds until I woke up on the first and second nights with flea/mite bites! Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.- Long term 'residents' living in the dorms giving it less hostel vibes and more halfway house vibes - Horrible 'tv room' - has a sports bar feel without the sports bar and shady people - Yes it has a garden - if you call a garden a 4m squared concrete patio covered in cigarette ash buckets and smokers with minimal hedging over the wooden walls! - Shady area, screams coming from outside in the morning and evening. Great if you like to stay in the ghetto!Plus points:Low price Comfortable clean beds, apart from the LICEClean but freezing showers Nice other people staying there (fortunately!)Bare basic kitchens (good for washing dishes, preparing meals) but then you have to eat them in the manky 'TV room'.

    budget stay with nice location

    rating24 Jun 2023

Overall a pleasant stay due to its decent location in Hammersmith accompanied with basic equipments. (so suprised that there's a private fridge!) However, there's no free WIFI and poor bathroom hygiene in the morning, bathroom was too small and difficule to hang our clothes on.In a nutshell you pay what you get.

    Cheap priced , pleasant stay

    rating17 Jun 2023

After reading some of the reviews for this hotel / hostel, I was slightly worried about what my experience would be like .I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. The check in went smoothly, I had booked a twin room with its own shower. The room was on the second floor .The room was small , but was clean and contained everything that was needed .A set of draws , a wardrobe, two single beds .There was also a fridge , with a freezer . This came in handy as it was a hot day . The bathroom contained a toilet, a small basin , and a shower . The shower had a good water pressure, and was better than many showers I have experienced in hotels of a similar standard. As I mentioned it was a hot day , and the room was very warm . I went down too reception, to see if I could acquire a fan . The gentleman on reception was very busy with guests . But he was very polite and helpful, and gave me a fan for the room . There was no deposit required, and was free too use . I can’t comment on other areas of the hotel , as I didn’t experience them . I also only required a one night stay .But the hotel is in an excellent location , for access too central London and the surrounding area . I would recommend this budget accommodation, and would stay there again if needed .
