    Aerotel Hotel is convenient, comfortable and stress-free

    We for 30 years we have ususlly stayed at one of the Marriott or Ibis properties adjoining Heathrow the night before an early morning flight back home on American Airlines. A few times we stayed in central London and cabbed to Paddington and Heathrow express. But either way, its a short night of sleep and we stress about getting to checkin in a timely manner. Last night we used Aerotel Hotel inside Terminal 3 and it was a great experience that I’m sure we will repeat in the future. Aerotel reception is located adjacent to the Terminal 3 Arrivals Hall and about a 3 minute walk to the American Airlines counters. Staying here means more sleep, less stress and real convenience. We ate dinner at a restaurant outside of security on the 2nd floor at the opposite end of Terminal 3. There is also. Pret next to the restaurant. Aerotel sells cold sandwiches, snacks and drinks if you want to stay in. Our room was compact but had a very comfortable king size bed and room to manage two large suitcases on stands. The ensuite bathroom was well equipped with a walk-in shower, hair dryer, basic toiletries and large thick towels. The room had a large flat panel television but we were focussed on getting to bed early and never turned it on. The room was spotlessly clean, silent, comfortable and its proximity to American Airlines check-in made for a much more rested and stressless travel day. We unequivocally recommend Aerotel to others and will be using it again in our future.     SHOCKINGLY BAD AT EVERY TURN

    Shocking at every turn.Booked after a long haul flight because we sleep very little on planes and have a long car journey home so we wanted a bit extra sleep before driving.Booked the room for 9am til 2pmGot there late due to delay with virgin flight. Not aerotels fault but you can’t push the time back unfortunately. I’d say we got there around 10.15amQuite seamless checking in etc but the receptionist said something along the lines of ‘if you have a shower, don’t leave the bathroom door open as these can trigger the sensitive fire alarms’. Anyway, we got to the room and got ready to sleep after 20/30 minutes. Fairly nice rooms and quite fairly priced to be fair. Anyway, after about 45 minutes of falling asleep, our fire alarm goes off. It wasn’t a test or anything, it was just ours in our room for absolutely no reason and I can’t tell you it was extremely loud and surprising. Factor in we had been very tired from travelling and sleeping very little on the plane. So it took us maybe another hour to get back to sleep after that horrific occurrence.Then about 20/30 minutes later after finally getting back to sleep after the fright of our lives. We were awoken by a cleaner hoovering the corridor outside our room! Not only that but she was bashing the hoover into our door multiple times. By this point I was fully awake again and just wanted to do the drive home even though I’d hardly slept again and the whole experience was a shambles I told the staff on checkout after they asked if I could leave a review. I said you don’t want a review from us as it was a terrible experience and I explained what had happened and they were basically lost for words and I just walked off as I was too angry and tired to continue and just wanted to go home. Anyway, we complained to the hotel later via email and they basically just said they couldn’t care less about our experience. Didn’t offer a refund or anything. Do not book this hotel ever. Horrific service and horrific staff and horrific experience. Disgraceful. Shouldn’t be in business

    Very claustrophobic

    Incredibly expensive for the tiniest little room. The room was barely eight foot square and had no room to put the case on the floor. This was really claustrophobic as there is no window and the aircon wasn't working. There was a bright green light overhead , a light which didn't turn off, presumably some kind of smoke alarm. Not a pleasant night at all unfortunately. I felt very much taken advantage of for the security of being within walking distance of departure gates. Also the shower is a rain shower type which I hate, to wash my hair it's way more convenient to use a hand held. I don't want to soak my entire body just to wash my hair in the morning.     Great service and great location. Stress free travel.

    With a check-in time of 0620 we wanted the morning to be as stress free as possible. I had looked at other hotels and transfers but on looking at Aerotel I knew this was best. We were not disappointed, from the moment we arrived the service was excellent. The two ladies on Reception could not have been more friendly, professional and courteous. Our room was perfect and provided all the facilities we needed for a single night. Check out in the morning was just as friendly and efficient and a short 5 minutes walk to an almost empty security area started our day and holiday perfectly.
