    Worst hostel I've been

    rating17 May 2026

By far the worst hostel I've slept in. Floor was creaking, beds were terrible and worst of all: people didn't give a sht ab being silent. Many old men sleep here. One had their ringtone on max volum that kept going off the entire night. One woman was loudly calling for like 2 hours straight at night. I'm pretty sure we heard 3 men loudly masturbating. This place for not feel safe for us at all.

    BAD HOSTEL THE ROYAL STANDARD

    rating17 Apr 2026

We stayed at the book of bed hostel in Deptford, London. It is also known as the Royal Standard. My son had over 74 bed bug bites on him. They were all over his body. I will not go there again. The lockers do not contain your things in an effective manner they're either broken or in bad shape. Pay the extra money and go to an airbnb. We actually left early from there and got a airbnb the last 3 nights of our stay in London

    3 nights of theatre

    rating26 May 2025

On arrival I wasn’t prepared for electronic check in, however the guy on reception was extremely good, went beyond sny where I have been before, by giving me room code manually, showing me my room, how to keep everything secure and the facilities. The toilets were clean, the showers were simple. I only wore underwear to toilets and showers the rules state wearing modest attire, however I wear less in the pool and even less at home. I’m so glad I did as pjs would have got soaking wet. Location was a little further out than I would have liked, but only because I don’t like tubes. Shared the 4 bed room only me and one other so was quiet. Curtains to use if wanted.Improvements well rentable services such as padlock hire and towel hire. I was there for three nights from 23 so didn’t seem worth buying one. Communal reception area could do fancy coffees or pastries. I had my breakfast outside as I believed it to be closed. Overall my first proper experience of a hostel was very good, would I stay again, yes I think I would.
