  I had a fantastic stay at Citadines South Kensington London. From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding. A special mention goes to Ethan at reception, who was incredibly welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. He really made the experience feel personal and smooth.The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring London. The room was well-equipped and maintained to a high standard, making it feel like a home away from home.I was so impressed with the overall service and hospitality that I happily gave £650 to the team as a gesture of appreciation—they truly deserve it for their hard work and dedication.I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London and will definitely be returning!   We recently stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment at Citadines South Kensington for 9 nights. Reception staff were always pleasant and helpful. A coffee machine was available in the lobby for a variety of coffees and hot chocolate. Hot water was also available for tea.The bedroom and bathroom are located on the second floor of the apartment. The lower level includes a foyer (closet, cabinet with drawers and full length mirror), living room and kitchen. The living room includes a sleeper sofa, table and two chairs, in addition to a small portable table. The living room furniture could be described as serviceable and was in good repair with the exception of some areas on the couch arms. We didn't use the sleeper sofa so can't comment on its comfort level.The kitchen is small but useful. It includes a small fridge and small dishwasher. There are plates (2 sizes), mugs, glasses and wine glasses (4 each). There were pots, a frying pan, toaster, kettle and other kitchen items. Dish detergent and tea towels were also provided. The cabinetry may not be durable enough for the use it receives.The bed was comprised of two mattresses. We found it to be very comfortable. There is a desk and chair in the bedroom in addition to a good sized closet that includes a rod, drawers and shelves. All was in good repair. The bathroom fittings were in good condition. As one would expect, the apartment stairs could be difficult for people with mobility issues (i.e. sore knees, hips etc.). Housekeeping is provided every 5 days. The room was quiet. The room key turns on the units electricity.We really enjoyed the location of the hotel. It is found in an area that isn't overrun with hotels. There are many people who live in the vicinity. Businesses on the street include restaurants and services suitable for residents of the area. There are several grocery stores, including Waitrose and Partners which is adjacent to the Gloucester Road Underground station. That tube station is a 5-10 minute walk away and is serviced by 3 metro lines. Victoria and Paddington train stations are within an easy striking distance via the Underground. The Natural History and V&A museums are approximately 15-20 minutes away by foot. Kensington Gardens is also about the same distance. The area surrounding the hotel felt safe when walking after dark. Would not hesitate in staying here again.   The hotel's location is ideal, being close to Gloucester Road station, High Street Kensington and various attractions, while also offering tranquility: no restaurant onsite but plenty of options nearby: great coffee machine in the lobby. We stayed there for a week in a 1 Bedroom Apartment: it was reasonably clean but could use some improvements and redecoration (sofa bed old and not comfortable, kitchenette shows age, one pot with broken handle, ...). The annoying thing is that our room was on the 6th floor but the only working elevator was getting you maximum to the 5th floor: we were offered to change but only after 3 days! The staff at the reception was unaware of what was going on with the elevator and despite being courteous just told us to write to the acting Assistant Residence Manager. Customer focus and satisfaction are not really their strength. The hotel porter was very helpful.
