    WORST EXPERIENCE

    rating25 Mar 2026

We arrived and they sent us to the basement, the room was old, wifi didn’t even reach and the phone to call receptions was obviously not working either. We talked to reception to see if they could change us and they said they had no available rooms. We needed to work and wifi was not working AT ALL, my wife went to reception and the blond receptionist was rude blaming us for supposedly not knowing how to use wifi. Afterwards I had to go twice to reception and the last time the same lady came to the room to verify that what we were saying was true. After that, at 11 pm she accepted to change us to another room.We arrived to the other room, there was a leak on the shower, the whole bathroom was flooded. The next morning they called us early to tell us we needed to leave that room and go back to the basement. We told them we didn’t want to return there and they offered us ANOTHER room. Another very unpractical room with the most uncomfortable bathroom where it was just impossible to wash your teeth or face. It was a very bad experience, we got tired of changing rooms and the help from the staff was just inexistant. Will definitely never go back to this hotel.

    Avoid!

    rating16 Nov 2025

Hotel was awefull. Scaffolding all around it, with active work going on, staff all on mobiles all the time, tiny grubby room downstairs in a basement style. Smelly, and mouldy. Breakfast was the worst breakfast experience, ever. Tiny little area with tinned hotdog sausages and really runny scrambled egg (that was it for the hot food choice!!) flys on bread, wrong hot drinks bought out. Really really disappointed and ruined a nice birthday weekend away. How anyone can justify the amount we paid including the voucher for this I will never know. Very upset customers this time I’m afraid.

    Training needed in boundaries

    rating11 Nov 2025

Stayed recently while in London. The hotel is in a great location with stations and shops nearby. The building had some construction but nothing major. A few things in the room needed repair (mirror, towel heater, shower leak), though nothing that ‘ruined’ our stay.My issue was mainly with the staff. The lady at reception with glasses was lovely and professional, but we had repeated problems with our keycard not working and had to go up and down several times. Some staff were kind, others dismissive.Eventually, a staff member came to help. She did fix the issue but then used my phone without permission to post something related to the hotel, which I found very unprofessional and uncomfortable. The rooms are a great size for London and WiFi was good, but the experience was really let down by how some staff handled things.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!!

    rating30 Jun 2025

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We saw a rat in our room in the middle of our stay and the hotel manager did not believe me and accused me of making it up. I saw it run past my foot and into the bathroom! And prior to seeing the rat, when I had stepped in the droppings in our bathroom, the front desk's response was to just clean it up myself with some tissue paper! Terrible customer service! DO NOT STAY HERE! They did switch us to a new room with no rats and the rest of our stay was fine. (We only stayed because our booking was non-refundable and there was nothing else reasonably priced and available during this summer/holiday season). The breakfast was decent and the breakfast staff were lovely.

Do not stay in the basement rooms!!

    rating26 Sept 2024

The basement rooms should not be priced the same as the other floors, they are an absolute disgrace. I don't mind rooms being small, especially in older buildings in city centres. However, this is the worst hotel room I've stayed in for as long as I can remember. The room has about 3 feet of space around a small double bed. The window is about 1 foot wide and only opens 3 inches. This is also somewhat of a blessing because outside the window is partially blocked by another part of the building and the space you can see is about 1 square metre of dank alley way!! (The second photo I've attached is actually looking out the window into the alley). Absolutely horrible stuffy room. Our sons stayed on the 3rd floor and their room was so much better. It was almost double the size of our room with what look like 12 foot ceilings and a huge window. Staff were pleasant and apologetic when I complained and offered to move us the following day as they had no other available rooms the day we arrived. We're only staying 2 nights so not the best solution. If you are offered any of the basement rooms, all for another floor or insist on a discount!
