    Don't waste your money.

    rating10 May 2026

On the fourth floor. The third to fourth floor staircase is quite steep and narrow. This hotel hasn't an elevator. This room, pediatric in size, is strait out of a flop house in 1950's Chicago. The rug should have been thrown out decades ago. The walls a dingy beige in color. The room has 2 cots. As you move in bed you almost roll out of bed. The floor in the room is uneven. You walk around like a drunken sailor. There's an amour and a bedside table (even Goodwill wouldn't sell this thing. It should have been thrown out with the carpet). The bathroom is even tighter in size. Too dark to shave properly. Sitting on the toilet your knee is pressing into the sink drain, you can rest you head on the sink. Occasionally the shower water comes out, "out of the blue", a little too hot or cold. And this costed us around $220/day. Europa house hotel, Owner at Europa House Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,We would like to clarify that our property is a 2-star hotel and it is clearly stated on all booking platforms and in our description that we do not have a lift. This is common for many traditional London buildings. Room and bathroom sizes in London are generally compact, and the room size, photos and full descriptions are available before booking so guests can make an informed decision. When you checked out, our team asked about your stay and you confirmed that everything was fine. If any concerns had been raised during your stay, our staff would have been happy to assist, including offering a room change where possible, especially if the stairs were difficult for you.Kind regards,Europa London Hotel

    Smallest room ever,at Europa Hotel

    rating07 Apr 2026

BE CAREFUL!! If you book the Europa Hotel please avoid room 19.It is the smallest room known to man.And they charge £5 to store your luggage, in the reception room, not locked up,with the room sometimes unattended. When I came back to check in I waited 5 minutes for any service, despite ringing them from reception. The small room,a single room.Every time I complained the staff member on duty would laugh at me.I was offered a different room the next day,but I had to pay for the upgrade.I shouldnt had been expected to pay ,and with one more night I decided against it.One of the staff called it an 'extra small ' room. There is no space to move around in the room, and the shower/toilet/handbasin room is also tiny. The shower 'cubicle' is so small when you shower the curtain sticks to you.The water pressure in the shower is also poor. The 'wardrobe'is a cupboard on the wall next to the bed,at eye level. It is not big enough to be able to hang clothes in,they fold up at the bottom.Positives were the quietness of the room, and a great location, very close to Paddington and Lancaster Gate stations, with lots of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. It is a shame Europa Hotel start their room sizes with an unacceptably small room. Europa house hotel, Owner at Europa House Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. The room you booked was our Economy Extra Small Single Room, and the size, description, and photos of this room type are clearly stated on the booking platform prior to reservation. This category is offered at a lower price specifically for guests looking for a budget option, and it is the only room of this size in the hotel. You were offered an upgrade to a larger room during your stay; however, you chose not to proceed as the upgrade required paying the difference between room categories.Regarding luggage storage, we normally charge £5 per bag after check-out, after 2:00 pm, as we handle many luggage deliveries in the afternoon working with luggage companies. However, on this occasion it was provided to you free of charge as a gesture of goodwill. With regards to your comment about reception being unattended, our staff were present and available to assist you when you arrived. We kindly ask that you review room descriptions and photos carefully before booking in the future, and refrain from making false claims about our services.Kind RegardsManagementEHH

    Good basic hotel

    rating26 Feb 2026

Very close to Paddington station (5 mins walk) meaning you can easily get anywhere in London. Quiet neighborhood which is good as the windows are old and do let the noise in.Be aware this is a budget/basic "hotel". It is just rooms with no other facilities at all. Which is fine if you are out enjoying London all day. We enjoyed our stay and thought the price was fair for what you get Europa house hotel, Owner at Europa House Hotel, responded to this review Dear Rob,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay.We are pleased to hear that you appreciated our convenient location close to Paddington Station and the quiet neighbourhood, which makes it easy for guests to explore London while still enjoying a peaceful area.
