    Great value hotel

    rating30 Apr 2026

Cozy hotel that offers very good value. Friendly 24/7 staff at the front desk and quick check in and out. The beds were quite comfortable, although the mattress was softer than I'm used to, I must admit that I slept like a log every night of my stay.We had a room overlooking Nevern Square, a nice green oasis in Earl,s Court. The Tube Station is only a 5 minute walk away. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The only minus detail was that the water in the shower took an eternity to get warm and the water pressure was very weak. Otherwise we found Garden View Hotel perfect for a short stay in London. I would book it again.

It was a great stay at this hotel and great value. It is in an amazing location and easy to get to/ from central london

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during our Christmas Holidays from college in January. We spent a lot of time looking for affordable hotels and came across this one. This hotel is great value, however we were able to hear people in the room beside us, which one of the reviews did mention already. The location is excellent and very accessible, there is an underground station 4-6 minutes walk from the hotel and it is a very nice area. There is also a bus stop near the hotel. It is in earl's court, and there are shops and fast food restaurants a short walking distance from the hotel. There is also a Tesco quite nearby. The room was clean when we came in first, there were fresh towels, toilet rolls and shower gel in the toilet as well. When we went out for the day and came back, there were fresh towels in the bathroom and everything was clean. The service at the front desk, was a little slow when we first arrived, but i think it was because the receptionist was on her lunch break. It was a nice atmosphere in the hotel, it felt welcoming. I would suggest using the lift as the stairs are quite steep, my friend and i were staying on the third floor, so we made use of the lift available. The free WiFi was very good to use and it was also very fast. In our room, we had a coffee machine and hairdryer to make use of as well.Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel as it is in a great location, it is clean and very affordable.

    Overnight stay

    rating19 Feb 2026

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We booked this hotel because we want to take our 2 sons 11 and 8, the the Natural History museum and science museum. It was a great location for this, 5 minute walk to Earls Court tube station and then not far. We also walked to Earls Court high street for breakfast and then got the bus, both were easy. The family room was a decent size with 1 double and 2 single beds. The only issue was the heat in the room, the radiator was so hot we had difficulty sleeping, we couldn't open the window much as one of the single beds was against the window wall, if my son had sat up and leant against what he thought was the wall he may have fallen out.It was frustrating about the heat because the beds was one of the comfiest hotel beds I can remember. I don't know why the radiators can not be turned down, there are many reviews complaining about the heat.Bit, overall a pleasant suprise at the standard of the hotel due to it being budget.

    Exceeded expectations

    rating06 Jan 2026

Didn't see this coming, but I'm going to give these people a decent review. Booking a cheap hotel in central London, your expectations are going to be fairly low. Admittedly there's a touch of the Chinese takeaway about the external signage, but on the other hand it's in a very quiet, understated location in a neat London garden square. Internally the rooms are as compact as you'd expect - well-endowed types might struggle in the comically-small bathroom, and whoever painted the woodwork and grouted the tiles is learning on the job. But at the same time the place is tidy, clean and well-cared for, and the decor and overall vibe is classy and dignified if a bit dated. The only real gripe was the fierce heating in the room, dealt with by the simple expedient of turning the radiator off and opening the french doors on the balcony - it was minus 5 in London last night, but i slept soundly.Would recommend; will come here again when I'm next in London.

Poor Room Condition and Frustrating Booking Experience

    rating31 Oct 2025

Our stay at the Garden View Hotel in London was unfortunately not as comfortable as we’d hoped. This booking came about after a long dispute with the hotel earlier in the year, when we accidentally booked the wrong dates through Hotels.com. Despite contacting both Hotels.com and the hotel immediately, the hotel initially refused to change the reservation due to their strict non-refundable policy, and it took a lot of persistence to have the dates amended. When we finally stayed, we were given a basement room, which came with several issues. Noise could be heard all night from neighbouring rooms, those above, and from the street outside, as the bed was positioned right next to the window. The room’s condition was disappointing: there were very few plug sockets (one unusable due to something being blocked inside), a loose bedside cabinet with the top not screwed down, peeling paint above the bed, chipped paint on other walls, and broken floor beading. The bathroom had a very high step leading in, the shower pipe was rusty, and the bathroom door had peeling paint and chipped wood along the bottom, which added to the overall feeling of neglect.
