    I always stay here when I am in London, and the service has been great every time. On my most recent stay Dorka was especially helpful with city information and serving breakfast.     Awesome hotel location, 5 min walk from Euston station in the heart of London, yet located in a picturesque (next to a lovely green space), quiet location with no inner city noise, we were even woken by the birds and not car noise in the morning.Clean, well proportioned & comfortable room (24) with fresh & modern decor.     Stayed here for 2 nights. Hotel staff was friendly. I had a single room and it was very small but it was expected. The hotel is near kings cross station as well as plenty of restaurants. Overall, would recommend.     We had my 50th birthday celebrations @ The George Hotel Colchester in March 2026 in the Tudor room. Wow what an amazing time was had by all. A big shout out to Joshua the Events Manager, he was just amazing from start to finish he made the evening just perfect. Nothing was too much trouble we were given the best personal service. The room was beautiful, food was first class with all 22 guests being very happy with their meals. So a big thank you to all the team involved in making a very memorable evening.

    Back Home at the George

    Not sure how many times I have stayed at the George now but the hotel feels like home whenever I am in Bloomsbury. This visit was a short one night stay to attend a conference in the British Library. My single room on second floor was compact but had enough space to make it comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. The room over looked the small park opposite which was really nice.Breakfast is substantial and quality so really sets you up for a day’s sightseeing or in my case a full days conference ahead of me.The staff are all lovely and polite and always helpful, again they kept hold of my bags after I checked out so I could collect them on my way to Euston at 18.30.
