  Don’t expect an early check in, even if your room is ready.

  Stayed in a single room, for the sake of cost and it was fine - nothing impressive, but clean and things work, which is not always the case. The one thing I found very strange was the checking procedure; I had an appointment cancel, which was of course my problem, but I went to the hotel to see if my room was ready, so they got me to check in and then made we wait until 3pm until the ‘room was ready’ however they did this with everyone, so at 3pm there was a huge queue and then we had to go through the check in procedure all over again…most hotels will let you in the room if it’s ready, I almost feel this is done to prove a point maybe? In any case, the room was fine - tiny but you get what you pay for.

  Great location, beautiful building

  What a lovely find . A great value hotel situated at the corner of Hyde Park. Stunning building. Very helpful on arrival. Showers hot and great pressure which after a long walk in the heat was well received. Room was a tad cosier than we would have like but it was simply a bed for the night. So was more than adequate. A nice firm mattress too. We booked for the price point essentially on a bank holiday weekend it was one of the best value we could find, even the budget hotels were more expensive, so to have breakfast inc was a bonus. Breakfast served early and good job we went when we did, it was very busy and somewhat chaotic at times . Plenty of choices available for all tastes .

  A lovely old London-hotel in Bayswater

  In March 2026 I was on holiday in London and stayed at Grand Royale Hyde Park in Bayswater. I was very satisfied. The rooms were nice and clean and the breakfast was outstanding, especially the lovely woman who was in charge in the breakfast restaurant. All members of the staff were both nice and helpful. I can only recommend this nice old hotel in Bayswater, and I'm planning to stay there again on my next holiday in London.   Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life.

  The rooms are extremely small, the outlets don’t work, and the facilities are old and poorly maintained.Even before my arrival, I requested a late check-out at 3 pm because my flight was at 9 pm. When I reinforced my request during check-in, the receptionist was rude and made a point of reminding me that it would cost extra (which wasn’t a problem for me).After practically begging for the paid late check-out, I finally got it, but the cleaning staff knocked on my door three times during that period to tell me to leave.I do not recommend it.   Great location - super staff & breakfast

  Free safe in room Great location Super staff - all of them but extra shout out to Viktor on reception , for a very welcoming check in and also to Sylvia on reception for sorting our 3rd night room for us Standard room is small so if you can pay the extra for the deluxe it is well worth it Breakfast very good , set us up for the day , all the usual fruit , pastries , full English nicely presented and fresh.We will definately return Hazel S, Guest Services / Front Office at Grand Royale Hyde Park, responded to this review Dear John,Thank you so much for your kind words!
