    Excellent hotel, rooms were very elegantly done and clean, all the services friendly and helpful. The employees were there to help in any situation or problem. They all appeared to enjoy their work to assist you. It was a very comfortable environment! Anytime I am in London, I will always want to stay there!     Disappointing birthday weekend

    Really disappointing if I am honest.Never really felt welcome from the moment I arrived.Staff were friendly but not welcoming on arrival, almost felt dismissed. Two members of staff were chatting on the desk and when we walked up to them with our bags we had to interrupt them to be spoken to. It wasn't until they loaded my booking that the attitude changedMy membership wasn't loaded onto the booking so got none of the perks as well which was disappointing.At Breakfast I felt the waiter was rude and dismissive.Only some tables were offered another coffee. We were left with finished plates in front of us for 15 minutes before we gave up and went to Pret for a drink. At no point were we asked how the food was.I had pancakes that looked like the Tesco value toaster ones and not what I would expect from this level of hotel.The full English on the table next to me looked good though.We had put down it was my birthday and normally I get left something in my room but this was the first hotel not to do that in 20 years of birthday trips away.The room was amazingly clean and comfortable. Bar staff were friendly and attentive but as with reception I was stood there for a while before I had to make the effort for him to look at me.The location, building and room are a 10/10.Everything else a 2/10 I have stayed in budget hotels where I had a far better experience.     Historical elegance!

    Family of ours have stayed at this property in the past And we fell in love when we saw the property! Multiple stays in London and we finally stayed this past weekend and everything about this hotel is exceptional! We had a balcony room that was overlooking Lord Nelson statue, and all of the facilities in the room were top quality. The breakfast in the morning was better than any other breakfast we’ve had whilst in London. We usually spend every Christmas in January and London, and love, stopping into the hotel, even to sit in the lobby bar. We didn’t have a chance to try the whiskey room, but the interior decor is fabulous. Fabulous.! You will not regret booking at this property!!!! The property has retained and displays its history beautifully! Love those women led gangs :) A few steps to the corner and you’re at the horse guards parade, and the hotel is tucked away from the busy street so it’s very quiet. look forward to our visit again in December and January!!
