Utterly terrible, you are being exploited.

Central location and making the most of exploiting people who are in need. I arrived and it felt like I was booking in to a Mexican hotel, chipped paint, kiosk with obscured glass, and a barely communicative recptionist with piles of rubbish behind them, the only thing missing was a sombrero and a barking sem-rabid dog.The state of the place was diabolical, worn filthy carpets, stinking bathroom, completely worm out furniture, and decor which was probable last touched, badly, in the 1980s. I didn't even dare risk the shower which looked like it was held together with chewing gum.If you want to feel unwelcome in the city, then by all means go for it, otherwise it was a place to put my head for the night for which I am grateful, but not for anything else, never, ever, ever returning.

    Mediocre, and best avoided.

    rating20 Sept 2025

The standard of decoration of the room was very poor and the aesthetics abysmal. The room was never serviced even though I spent 3 nights in the hotel. The "hot" water in the shower was hot on only 1 day out of three. The other two days I would describe it as "not quite cold". Breakfast was the least inspiring I have experienced in any hotel, anywhere in the world, in all my 72 years. On the second and third mornings I didn't even bother eating beakfast. Going hungry seemed preferable. Wifi is available, but only if you pay extra..On the other hand, the room had all the basic necessities, and everything worked. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. There were no traces of bed bugs. (I checked carefully.) Lighting was good, and I could read a book or put my makeup on without any difficulty. I feel that the owner is exploiting guests. For the price I paid, it should have been much better.I had to travel to London at short notice, most hotels in the area I needed to stay in were fully booked, and I only booked this one because it had vacances. (I didn't have time to study the reviews.) I now know why it had vacancies. May it have many more of them in future.

    Awful

    rating25 Aug 2025

The room was small, dirty and cramped. I could sit on the toilet and wash my hands in the sink and feet in the shower at the same time. I inspected the bed before I laid in it, and I saw no bugs, BUT, when I pulled the covers on the sheets had an awful stench of old man sweat. I threw the sheets of and slept without. Had to buy new ones on the day after. The breakfast was toast, jam and cereal. The coffe was instant with a solid amount of cobwebs on it. Stay away from this place, just spend the extra cash and get a good experience elsewhere.

    Poor standard ‘hotel’

    rating26 Jul 2025

Unfortunately my friend booked this without looking at reviews! The twin room was very small and up 4 flights of narrow stairs. Room appeared clean but very tired at first impression. Bathroom was very old, tiny and although fairly clean, the plastic structure was stained and damaged. There was a stagnant water smell. The shower was incapable of holding heat and pressure at the same time despite following the instructions given. No plug in sink. Minimal toiletries. Very small bath towels.Beds were tatty divan style with no mattress or pillow protectors but bedding all appeared clean and fresh. Mattresses were somewhat sunken and one very creaky. There was noisy pipe sounds throughout the stay. Main lampshade was hanging precariously from ceiling and over bed light was loose on wall. Shelf above bed was unusable as also poorly secured on the wall. There was a large, badly filled crack down the wall and a hole in the wall at floor level with a wood repair and protruding screws.Neighbourhood area was fairly quiet but we were awoken at 5am by a neighbouring room slamming the door on leaving. Further doors also banged and a very loud non English speaking couple having a heated discussion in a nearby room. All before 7am!It seemed more like a residential setting than a hotel room.Kettle and tea/coffee plus mugs but no spoons. We didn’t try continental breakfast which was included as it was 730-9am only.Very over priced stay for such poor standard.

Filthy, not clean, health hazard.Shower did not work.Shoes stuck to carpet.Sheets unsanitary. Breakfast consisted of powdered coffee and sliced bread. This place needs to be visited by health officials and removed from this site.Majority of unsuspecting tourists will be visitors from abroad, what a welcome to the UK!
