  Unable to elect early check-in and hotel has poor communication about a resolution

  It was such a nightmare trying to book this hotel;-I went online and it went up in price overnight when the room was already overpriced for the area -I was trying book it and then it added about £50 on after the original price listed, it said the extra was due to taxes… strange-I couldn’t book the room anyway because there was no option to select early check-in when booking the room. -I went as far as calling trip.com who I tried to book it through to get the price almost as good as it was the night before. I was told they couldn’t confirm if there was early check-in available they said they would get back to me tomorrow with the hotels decision. I said I cannot wait until tomorrow or my booking will be too late and rendered useless as I couldn’t have the price jump up again overnight. It was already outside of budget I think beginning at £90+ then the next day £105. The agent told me that they would call back within the hour or next few hours but they said they would call back today with the answer and I received no call until the next day which has prompted me to write this review as my entire experience was highly stressful and I wasted days trying to sort this out whilst already exhausted. In the end I just gave up as it was not worth the stress. This hotel does not seem worth it when you factor in how much more you will actually be spending as well as the lack of customer service over the phone and no actual ability to solve such a simple customer query as providing a yes or no answer about it whether early check in is available or not. I felt especially disadvantaged because often when I book with hotels there is simply a button to press to add on early check in when paying for a room. This process was so counterintuitive and went against customer satisfaction and caused stress. Now I’m not going anywhere just to avoid the stress of having to look for another hotel

  A nice Postive 👌two night stay at the holiday in Harlow

  I have stayed in this hotel for the last two nights while working away with work. The check in process was fast and easy. The room was very clean and quiet easy to fallAsleep. The food was to a high standard on both nights. Mihaela who checked me and serve my food and drinks on both evenings was a breath of fresh air. She asked how my day was and made me feel very welcome while being quite busy serving other guests too. This little things really help. Mihaela recommended the strawberry cheesecake which was delicious. Mihaela I believe was the duty manager is a real aspect to your hotel :)she really made my stay Postive :) would definitely staying here again.

  I have visited this Holiday Inn a few times on business.The rooms are always clean and tidy as is all the hotel.The staff are all very friendly especially Rosie who I have noticed is very polite to all the guests and try her best to help them out. The food in the evening is very nice if you choose to eat there.

  I stayed here while working in Harlow for a couple of weeks and here's my thoughts. Firstly the hotel is centrally located in Harlow close to everything the rooms were very comfortable and cleaned everyday very good beds smart TV etc. The breakfast was also great a good selection every morning and the restaurant serves very good food everything I had was very tasty highly recommended but the best part was the staff all hard working always smiling nothing was too much hassle a real credit to the hotel they were brilliant so if your in this area and need somewhere to stay this hotel is definitely worth a visit.

  This was a genuinely positive and comforting stay. From the moment I arrived, all reception staff were attentive, kind, and reassuring, which made a real difference. The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and the kitchen, housekeeping, and maintenance teams all provided excellent service.I’d especially like to thank Mihaela and Rosie on reception. Their warmth, understanding, and willingness to help went far beyond expectations and made my stay feel personal and supportive. I’m very grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
