Location

Located in the heart of Croydon and only 2 minutes' walk from the main shopping areas, restaurants and bars, the hotel is easily accessible from East Croydon station (approximately 10 minutes' walk) from where trains run frequently throughout the day taking guests to London City and London Bridge (15 minutes away), London Victoria/West End (15 minutes away) and Gatwick Airport (20 minutes away). Crystal Palace Stadium is also only 10 minutes away by train and Wimbledon Tennis Ground is 30 minutes by tram.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 10-storey building with a lift and 156 rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock.     Hotel is in Croydon, so area is not that good and the distance from Central London is long. Chose this hotel mainly because of the distance to Gatwick Airport and the price. (250 pounds for 4 nights, including breakfast, semi-flexible rate, sale)Arrived at 9pm, reception staff was okay, no issues with that.Room was quite spacious and clean. Hotel was renovated recently. Two water bottles as welcome gift for IHG one, even in the lowest membership tier. Not any external noise problems, though as a light sleeper I did receive earplugs from the reception upon request.One weird thing was that there were two elevators, but one was "under inspection" for the whole time. Kone employee was there one day but it was still out of use afterwards. If it was electricity saving, then honesty would have been nice.Breakfast was good. All the English breakfast items I could think of were there. One thing that I was slightly annoyed of was the fact that the cucumber and tomato slices were in the same bin, making the cucumbers taste like tomatoes. Small complaint, but an easy fix?Overall, a good value stay. If I return to London one day, this hotel would be a viable option.

    Decent, budget contemporary hotel. Only problem for me is i have a high roof van but was lucky enoigg to get one of the 5 spaces outside the hotel. They do have a much bigger car park a 4 min walk away but it has a hwight barrier. The receptionist andre was a star, made sure i parked properly without infringing the kerb distance which would have netted me an £80 parking fine. Well sone andre, a credit to the company

    Great location for our football tour. Staff superb, thanks to them all.Rooms excellent.Plenty of choice for breakfast.Will definitely use again.
