This hotel is located adjacent to Junction 1a of the London Orbital, and is ideally placed for the motorway network, making it a perfect location for the business and leisure traveller to London. Facility

126 non-smoking rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by a lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday.     Easy to find, ample parking. On arrival the staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We were treated like returning friends. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Would definitely use again if I was travelling through. 10/10 to the reception staff.     The good bits - all the reception staff were wonderful - very professional and courteous, nothing was too much of a problem - wonderful teamStaff doing the catering also wonderful and that's where it ends.Bar was adequate - evening meal food OK'ish (Staff really good though - basic restaurant but OK and clean - menu OK nothing to write home about food quality very average - nothing to really complain about - basically 'ready meals' style!!The bed linen - the worst I have experienced ever!!! real low quality nylon/polyester sheets absolutely bottom of the rack quality.Beds/mattresses equally horrible again real low quality stuff - if you want a good nights sleep this is not the hotel for you.The pillows utter rubbish again bottom of the rack 'flop-house' specialsThe double beds are very small as are the rooms - décor is a bit spartan but OK, adequate, on the plus side very good room lighting which makes a pleasant surpriseHowever, I will not be stopping there again - which is a real pity as the staff were really great - way too good for this hotel Hotel Manager Manager, Owner at Holiday Inn Express London - Dartford by IHG, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback.We’re pleased to hear the reception and catering teams made such a positive impression, with professional, courteous and supportive service throughout your stay.     Over 120 rooms but looks like there is only one lift. What a waste of time.It is bad enough that paying guests have to pay for parking but there seems to be only one machine. Also the machine does not give you a receipt so you have request later, even that it still took 2 emails. What a waste of time.Paid in full when checking in but had to wait until checking out to have the invoice. What a waste of time.Reception thanked me for being a member and gave me the no housekeeping door sign if I wanted to use it. I then asked if I requested no housekeeping, if I would just come to reception for extra things. She tutted under her breath and rolled her eyes before saying Yes.Shower was weak, only a bit more than a drizzle.Only one coffee machine at breakfast room. What a waste of time. Old croissants both mornings.Not impressed at all.
