    We Basically Lived Here for 9 Days… and Loved the Staff!

    The staff are absolutely the stars of this hotel and genuinely went above and beyond for us.Due to a boiler leak at home (and then asbestos being found during the works 😩), we unexpectedly ended up basically living here for 9 days — despite only living 5 minutes away, which probably made us look very odd! 😂 We never knew how long we’d need to stay as everything depended on the work being completed, but the hotel made a stressful situation so much easier.The team were incredibly accommodating, extending our stay whenever we needed and kindly keeping us in the same room throughout, which made such a difference when life already felt unsettled.From filling my Stanley with ice and water before work (I’m embarrassingly fussy and only drink ice-cold water 😂), to letting us use the microwave for quick dinners before dance class, extra towels, and always being warm, welcoming and helpful — nothing ever felt too much trouble.When a hotel unexpectedly becomes your home for over a week, the people make all the difference, and the staff here truly did.     Location is excellent overlooking the Epsom race course.We use it frequently when visiting family.Service,accommodation, breakfast, comfort and cleanliness is what you would expect from a 4# hotel.Highly recommended.     The staff were very attentive and helpful. A solution was found to every challenge by the night team when checking in nearly midnight after a very delayed flight!     excellent for familiesLocation was great , nice and quietcheck in- staff very helpful directing us to a nice pub for an evening meal, very polite and helpful. rooms- accomodated our request for adjoining room and disabled room. both rooms clean and comfortable . slept well. room temp great. breakfast- buffet hot meal and plenty of choice from continental ,staff- made my son super happy as they gave him a little birthday treat. they remembered him saying at check in. very nice!!!my son was so happy , thankyou will return back for sure Andra L, Owner at Holiday Inn Express London - Epsom Downs by IHG, responded to this review Dear anitam564, Thank you for your lovely review!     Second time here, it really is a great hotel. Friendly welcome at check in, spotlessly clean room. Great shower room.
