This hotel enjoys an ideal location on the A4, close to the centre of London, but outside of the Congestion Charge Zone and Finchley Road underground station is just 160 m away. The hotel is adjacent to the O2 Shopping Centre/Vue Cinema complex, with its vast array of shops, restaurants and cinema screens, which all add to the wonderful experience of staying at this property. 79 rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     Recurring cancellations - Opening date keeps moving

    Be very careful booking here. This property has a recurring pattern of accepting reservations and then cancelling them months in advance. The re-opening date has been pushed back multiple times (most recently to September 2026) after previously accepting bookings for earlier in the year.My reservation was cancelled with no help for rebooking, leaving us to find new accommodation at much higher last-minute rates. The hotel appears non-operational despite occasionally appearing as bookable on brand sites. Check other recent reviews here and elsewhere—this is a known issue. Avoid until they are actually open and hosting guests.

    I was travelling from Budapest back to london and national express dropped me outside holiday inn express on Finchley Road around 3 AM. Unfortunately flight was delayed and my phone battery died and the bus didn’t have new apple type C cable port. I couldn’t book a cab to go back home, so I entered holiday express and they had a charging point at the entrance.But a very rude front desk executive with gold tooth filling didn’t let me charge the phone and asked me to leave . I requested so nicely given the circumstances but met with disdain. Couldn’t book my cab and took 3 hours with 3 night bus changes in rain to reach home for a journey which takes 10 mins in car. Is there no kindness left in people these days and I am shocked holiday inn express being such a reputed hotel hire such unhelpful staff. I have stayed myself so many time in holiday inn express , never again.     This hotel is closed, I called the reception of the hotel and they confirmed that they are closed and they are planning to re-open only towards Q4 (end of the year), so if you're planning to book it, avoid it! Unfortunately Holiday Inn website and IHG website are still showing this hotel as available and this is very wrong, they should remove it from their listening until this hotel is back running or only allow future dates.     Beware if you are booking for 2024. IHG are taking reservations for a hotel that may not be open. Glad I spotted reviews on here shortly after booking and was able to cancel. Phoned hotel front desk number and was told hotel is closed and MIGHT reopen next year. Chose Holiday Inn as I thought it was a name to be trusted but not so. So glad our family holiday - to coincide with my husband running the London Marathon - wasn’t ruined by a non-existent booking.     Cancelled Reservation After Booking Four Months Ago

    I had seen where this hotel had unilaterally cancelled bookings during the heart of the COVID crisis, but they were taking reservations now so I assumed that they had fixed whatever operational problems they had. We were booking a family vacation so options were limited for our group size and budget. This hotel seemed like a good option. We booked it in November 2022, and now, in February 2023, they have notified me that they are cancelling the booking. As others have noted, other options are scarce and pricing is definitely higher. If the hotel had suspected that they would need to cancel reservations, they should have not put out the rooms to reserve. I would have much rather chosen something else back in November than to have the rug pulled out from under us here in February. Being an IHG property, I expected the hotel to hold itself to a higher standard, but as everyone has mentioned, that is not the case. Don't take a chance on booking this hotel. They have violated the most basic promise of offering hotel rooms and then having them actually be available.
