Location

This popular hotel is located half a mile from Gatwick's North Terminal and 1 mile from the South Terminal. With a shuttle bus guests will quickly and easily be able to reach both of the airport terminals.

216 rooms, including 57 single rooms and 69 double rooms, are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     It's ok, but depends on the staff and room

    Checked in and the hotel tried to charge us for parking again, even though we had it booked as part of the package. Only on showing our confirmation with it on did they take the charge off. Person was not very welcoming.Hotel room was on floor 5 facing the car park and was boiling hot. Went to reception and lady said that the setting on the air con unit would be changed and to wait an hour to give it chance to cool down. Room was very dark, with no main light and a couple of very small bed lights which didn't illuminate the rooms much. It wasn't very clean either.In the meantime went for dinner. Food was average, service was slow and the older waiter serving us was really quite rude.Went back to the room for it to be the same boiling temperature, staff had just put a small fan in the room. Waited for another hour, but it was unbearable. Called reception and they said they would try to get us in to another room. An hour later yet another person from reception actually came to our room and once they came in, realised just how hot it was and said it wasn't acceptable! He was very apologetic and helpful. Was told it would be sorted immediately and we were put into another room within 10 minutes. This room was on the 3rd floor and on the other side of the hotel. It was like a different hotel! The room was bright, spotlessly clean and the air con worked perfectly.Breakfast was ok, usual choice of items, but we must have hit it just after everyone else as there were multiple empty dishes, so had to have toast! They weren't refilled in the 20 minutes we were there.

    Stayed here for one night (early morning flight). Booked through Holiday Extras. Lots of space for parking (parked for 8 nights). Check-in was easy. Room was clean and organised. Served by Robert in the restaurant for dinner and was very helpful in helping me order a 'lactose free' meal - there were not many optionsthat didnt include cheese, bechemel sauce, mayonnaise or buttermilk, but the curry I chose was lovely. Kids ate free and included 2 course.

    Amazing stay, room lovely bright and clean. Went for a meal at the restaurant on site and had a superb steak. Cooked to perfection and really decent food portions too, compliments to Serge the chef!

    I have stayed at many Holiday Inn hotels over the years for both business and leisure, and while the hotel itself and the room met the standard I would expect, the food at Holiday Inn Gatwick was extremely disappointing.The evening meal was one of the worst hotel meals I have experienced. It was dry, overcooked, and lacked any flavour. Unfortunately, breakfast was no better. The food appeared to be heavily reliant on deep-fried items, leaving everything greasy, unappetising, and difficult to enjoy. The overall quality was far below what I would expect from a hotel of this standard, especially considering the prices being charged.While the accommodation was comfortable and the staff were pleasant, the dining experience was a major let-down and significantly impacted my stay. I would consider staying here again because of the hotel’s convenient location and decent rooms, but I would strongly recommend eating elsewhere and avoiding the restaurant altogether.
